Which came first, the artist or the egg?
Fred Myers is an artist of his own kind. Tell him that he can't do  something and you are sure to be surprised by the outcome.
To the left you can see what started as an Emu's egg, although in the hands of Fred, affectionately known to his friends as
Pa Bear, he turns the ordinary into the extra-ordinary. He sculpts egg shells into works of art.
If you look closely to the left side of the picture you can see the ridges of
Pa Bear's finger, which should give you and idea of the 'scale' of his work.
Nothing says Easter like a colorful basket of Pa Bears collection of art.
Butterflies in ornate cages.
Egg-cicles anyone? These creations are made through the cooperation of Fred 'Pa Bear' Myers and Ruth Niles. Ruth is an artist in her own right, turning magnificant works from wood. To see some of her works click here or visit her website Torne-Lignum.com.
Just image the Christmas Tree with these dazzling ornaments hanging from the branches.
The Emu's eggshell  actually has different colored layers.
Pa Bear uses them to fashion the depth and beauty of a delicate design.
