Man's Destruction

written by my husband Chuck, he received this special award for expressing strong environmental concerns in his poem.

Slaughter in the water,
death in the air,
critters of the earth
and man doesn't care.

Rifles, pistols,
and cars galore,
the carnage continues
til there will be no more.

Scarring the land
with buildings and streets,
we keep taking and taking
to claim man's feats.

When will it stop
some want to know?
Where will our friends
the animals go?

This is the question
that needs answered soon
or the earth as we know it
will be dead as the moon.
