Our end-unit townhome is two-stories, with dark brown wood siding, an enclosed patio and a car-port, and is currently decorated in "american box". New siding is currently being put up on side of the house. You can catch a glimpse of the pond to the right in the first picture.
Luckily for us, when Faeryn and Garrett made their choices of the three bedrooms, they each chose differently. Garrett really wants to paint the walls of his room a dark color and put up Magic team borders/accents. Because of the issue of wanting to be able to sell the house in a couple of years to move into something bigger, we've said no to this scheme, and are still pondering alternatives. Faeryn, on the other hand, has decided on a purple/lavender theme, and is decorating with pictures of unicorns and dolphins or orcas. Greg and Maya plan to decorate their room in bookshelves as much as possible.
The kitchen is mostly blue, with some green accents, mostly ivy patterns. It is nice and large with not nearly enough cabinet space, but then no kitchen ever has quite enough! Greg's office is in one area of the living room, and there is one nice long couch for dozing on near the gas-log fireplace. There are one and a half baths in the house, no particular decorating scheme as yet. Maya has does collect teapots and hopes to use them in her decorating. We have lots of bookshelves, and they are all currently packed full of Greg's books. Maya's are slowly making their way to the house as well, one box at a time.
There is a pond very close to the house which is home to many Canada geese. Garrett plans to investigate how good the fishing is there too. We are investing in citronella candles to burn outside so we can enjoy the patio without too many visits from mosquitos.
The house isn't huge, but with a little notice, we can gladly put up visitors for a few nights, so if you are going to be in Charlottesville, give us a call! |
