I AM NOT A DJ. I have Djed in the past but didn’t start out as a DJ and do not intend to be one.
IF / WHEN I DJ, I prefer to use CD over vinyl and a lot of the music that I spin is my own.
I will DJ for cash but much rather go in with my live set up:
FM tone generator, multi-timbral synth module, sequencer, sampler / FX box and,
for accessibility + control, a pre-mixer to send stereo signal into the venues’ main board.
On very special occasions I also take out my analog modeling synth and / or TR-909. |
