In the 1890's, the advent of the "Dreyfus Scandal" and other levels of serious political/intelligence crisis in France, and the rise of Socialism, The French Socialist Party began to develop as a "party alternative". Attracting Blum, intellectuals and the savy, unlike in other parts of Europe. His youthful journalist POV style, along with french writer/novelist, Emile Zolar, etc., made them both popular with french current events. From 1919 on, Blum's direct political involvement would play important roles and positions in the future politics of France. It is noted that France was a main center for early psychical and Astral Viewing studies. Some of Blum's circle of friends, like renowned musician/composer, Claude De Bussey was a Grand Master of a secret society called The Priory of Sion, interested in these and other related sciences (Victor Hugo was also a former Grand Master). Around 1906, a french magician using the word "Remote Viewing" and demonstrated a form of "AV/RV" at that time. French intelligence, already had a limited form of "AV/ RV" in full operation during WWII and later used it in Indo-China (Vietnam).
