      The Offspring will be at the KROQ/Levi's Inland Invasion on Augest 25 at the Blockbuster Pavilian in Devore.  Other performers  are Incubus, Long Beach Dub Allstars, Pennywise, Social Distortion and Weezer.  Special guests Mike D and Mixmaster Mike.  Side stage performers are Adema, Cold, Drowning Pool and Puddle of Mudd.

       The Offspring will begin recording a new album soon and will be out early next year.

       The Offspring just finished recording a new song for the upcoming movie,
Orange County.  The song is titled Defy You and will the video will be shot early this month.  The movie will come out in January.

Defy You will be in stores the 18th and their video debuted on MTV the 7th.  It is an awesome song so check it out.

The Offspring's new song,
Defy You is at number 11 this week on the billboard charts after 5 weeks.  The Offspring will play the Concerts for Artists' Rights on Febuary 26, 2002 at the Long Beach Arena in California.  Other artists to play at that arena are No Doubt and Weezer.

Beck, the Deftones and Offspring singer Dexter Holland joined Recording Artists Coalition founders Don Henley and Sheryl Crow at California's State Capitol on Wednesday to support new legislation that could change the relationship between recording artists and their labels.  Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello, Matchbox Twenty's Paul Doucette, Stevie Nicks, John Fogerty, Carole King, Ray Parker Jr. and Jonatha Brooke also appeared in Sacramento, California, calling on legislators to support Democratic Sen. Kevin Murray's Senate Bill 1246, legislation that would allow artists to function more like free agents, according to a spokesperson for the Recording Artists Coalition.

The Offspring played Tony Hawk's Boom Boom HuckJam on March 1st.  The world's hottest skateboarders, BMX bikers and freestyle Motocross riders go crazy in an arena while you listen to The Offspring and Social Distortion! Come to the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on April 27 for the biggest action sports and music show in history.

Congratulations bassist Greg K and his wife, Jane, on the birth of their second son, Matthew David. Their first offspring, Michael, was born in 1999.

The Offspring have been confirmed for this year's Reading/Leeds festivals which traditionally take place over the August Bank Holiday - Fri 23rd - Sun 25th. Tickets will go on sale shortly.

Perform Benefit Concert July 31 At Anaheim House Of Blues To Raise Money For Surfer Organizations' Spinal Injury Research. The Offspring, T.S.O.L., and The Line will perform a charity concert at the Anaheim House of Blues Wednesday, July 31 to benefit They Will Surf Again (TWSA) and Life Rolls On (LRO), not-for-profits started by professional surfers dedicated to finding a cure for spinal cord injuries (SCI).  Tickets are $25 and go on sale Saturday, July 13 at noon through Ticketmaster and the House of Blues, Anaheim box office. Organizers anticipate a sold-out concert and will award net proceeds totaling an expected $20,000 to SCI Research Advancement and Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation. Funds are also earmarked for related research to find cures for such diseases as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.

I put a new line of tour dates up all the way through November.  Also, The Offspring have been writing news songs for their next album titled "Appetizer for Destruction" (not official yet) for the past 8 months. They have nine new songs written. Some of their new songs are "What the F*ck", "Poofter", "Milquetoast" and "Spare Me the Details".  It is due out in Febuary, 2003.
