Captain Smitty
Captain Smitty is all she's known as. The Captains childhood revolved around the love for the sea. At age ten she took to sea on a raft that she'd been buildin in secret for two years. After being alone at sea for a few weeks (not sure exactly how long), she was taken aboard a trading vessel as a forced hand. They were a cruel upper class England ship. Smitty studied trade routes and always hoped a pirate ship would come pillage the ship and take her with them. That day never came. Little is known what happened after that. Smitty managed to escape with alot of loot and knowledge and meet her future crew. The Captain is outgoing, seaworthy, honest, depenable, a warrior, and more often then not, out of her right mind. She likes the sea, loot, looting, friends (the crew), drunks (the crew), gambling, and sailing. Her dislikes include mutiny, pistols, barnicles, and Englands Navy. Weapon of choice is almost always a swords and she is the best swordfighter on the ship. Smitty rarely ever uses a pistol because in her opinion "it be a sissy weapon that takes no skill."
First Mate Black Jack Rackem
Little is known about Black Jack, witch by the way is not her real name. She is the first mate to Captain Smitty, but has her own dreams of being captain. If a slight chance came up, Jack would leave her crew in an instant. (great first mate, eh?) She hasn’t always wanted to be a pirate. At the age of 12 her father, Jack, who was a pirate, was killed. So she took his name and found a crew and hopes to someday find the pirates who killed her father so she can finally have her revenge. Her likes are fighting, and taunting Leaf, the parrot. Her weapon of choice is the pistol because “Its does the job must faster.”, but she has been known to pick up a sword now and then.
Second Mate/Mechanic Jean "The Pick-Pocket" Bolts
Otherwise known as "Bolts" especially to new crew. Only close friends may call her Jean or a different nickname. She's the mechanic and the scout for the ship, also second mate to the captain. Jean picks a mean lock and like to steal for the thrill of it, knowin' the person didn't relise whats happening 'till its too late. All in good fun. She likes gambleing and playin' cards with her mates and playin' pranks, especially to the captain who likes a good sport now and then though you wouldn't want to piss her off. The main crew have been mates long before our sea ferrin' days so they trust each other with their lives. She's fiercly loyal, no word of mutany here, and she maybe too proud for my own good, but she'll can back it up. I mean who doesn't love a good rumble now and then? Swords and knives are her weapons of choice although The Pick-Pocket does love a nicely crafted pistol. She's a real fan of music and loves stoppin' at a bar to play a little and have a few drinks, like any other self respected pirate. Jean's a dumbfounded fool for animals and the sea. Doesm't have much faith in the human race, she thinks what they do to animal should be done right back to them, thats why shes a veggitarian, meat goes bad on board quick anyway. Though she's not very religeous Jesus was right about one thing "an eye for an eye" thats her motto
Lookout/Close Combat Extrodonair Scurvy Joe
A spontaneous boy with 2 faces, one a totally innocent looking commoner, and the other a cold pirate with only revenge on the Navy in mind. He was once a powerful member of the Navy, but due to his discovery of a large government scandal, he was locked into a cell to die. 4 months later, living on nothing but bread and water, a high case of scurvy and on the brink of death, the end was near. Though, he was lucky saved one day because of Captain Smitty and crew attacked and raided a near by area, saw Joe and decided to help him escape and let him on board. Seeing how he also had Scurvy the name stuck. Thus, Scurvy Joe. Now in the present, he likes to kick it with the crew. Helping out here and there with the look out, and lending strength in battle. Weapon of choice, Kwan Dao of coarse, and many other weapons hidden inside his bag. Specialty is to size up enemies, plan sea battles, conning, and foreign languages. Weak points are aiming (Pistols) and potato chips. Favorite quote, “These guys, don’t appreciate I’m broke”
Cook Cooker Kurt
Cooker Kurt was a well known captain known as Cap'n Kurt until his crew planned a mutany against him. They made him walk off the plank from what used to be his ship called "The Veasna". Kurt swam to this near by island and because he was suspected of being a pirate no one really wanted to give him a good job. After figuring he would never see his ship or god forsaken crew again, he got this cheap job as a cook. Until Captain Smitty came along and I guess thats another story. So he came to this ship as our cook. likes and dislikes- likes to cook! ha ha afterall he is a cook. and he misses being a Captain.
Leaf the Parrot
Leaf the Parrot is a very smart, talking parrot. He talks in full sentences (most of the time) and even picked its own name. He can be very sassy and really hates Cooker Kurt. One of the many things he can do is write with his beak (as good as any 2nd grader) and play go fish although he cheats. Leaf has no master and came to the ship on his own account and can come or go as he pleases. He is still a crew member and is treated as a small, feathered equal. When asked about his background Leaf said "I like to eat people and other parrots." He laughed wickedly then said "I had a hard life. I was gay for a little while but became straight but I soon ate my companion after I became straight. I was treated badly because I was gay. Thats all."
Slanks the One Man Band
Slanks is the youngest member of the crew. At age 3 he lost his first tooth. At age 4 he ate his first dung beetle. When he was 7 both parents went on a cheap cruize, the ship sank, they never returned. That explains why young Slanks is a little odd. He can't read or write very well (not even as good as the parrot!) At 9 he was saved by his favorite pirate, he claims, himself. Throughout his life he stole and taught himself to play instruments. Such as an Irish Whistle which was a gift from his mom, a fife that "found" on his travels, and a saxophone he stole from "some rich folk" which turned out to be the royal family of England. His final instrument was an accordion that he tried to snag from Captain Smitty's ship. "They was docked farthest on the pier a late summer night", he recalled, "I knew I could get it, no one seemed to be around. So I gets real close all sneaky like and climb aboard. I grabbed it and kept a lookin fer more goods. Then I stumbled over a body, (which later turned out to be a passed out Scurvy Joe). It yelled then they chased meh, right into the captain's quarters. There I hid damin up the door till I falls asleep, when Is waked up they all starrin at meh ruthlessly. The captain told me to play some of the instuments I had. I did the best I could. Then I became thier band."
Punisher Heather
Only little is known of Punisher Heather's past. She was abandend at the age of 12 on a group of Islands called Devil's ring, by her parents who were traveling from England to Barbados. She lived there by herself for a year, untill (as she puts it) was saved by pirates. They took pity on her, and let her be apart of there crew. Because they already had planty of deck hands, they decided to use her bitchyness on the rag to become the Punisher. After working her way up, she soon became the captain of the ship, untill it was sunk by her parents. She became a seemingly hardened person. It's hard to get much more out of Heather, but one can tell there's so much more depth to her. Just beware, because even when she's not already furious, she will still rip you a new for making a funny noise. Of the few things in life Heather enjoy's listening to a good jig, and planning her revenge on her evil and cruel parents are a few of them.
