Ok, I normally wake up at 6am – no matter what time I got to bed. So I want to know, who slipped a Mickey in my water last night? I woke up at 10:50am. . . not good. That means I didn’t get much done today. But that’s ok, I won’t get too strung out over it. You see, while my boyfriend is always calm, cool, and collected – I’m not. So when I woke up today and was in a panic, I sat there and was like, why do I even care? I have the rest of the day to do this. . . hence why I’m calm. I decided that the only good lunch to eat was left over sausages from breakfast (heated, of course), and now I’m getting on with my day. Ok, so I wasn’t satisfied with just 3 pieces of sausage, so I threw in a pickle, and to down it all, a Dr. Pepper.
Ok, so let’s talk acting. I’m thinking, why should I be a forensic scientist? I love science and I have an insatiable appetite for a juicy mystery. But acting, hey I’m pretty good at that – I’ve even taken acting classes. But logically, which is better? Forensics . . . it all comes down to my love of science, and solving crimes. And financially, with my masters in forensics, I could make up to $100,000 a year, now, that is a lot. Acting has too big of a range . . . (any where from $0 to what Nicole Kidman makes), that makes me uncomfortable. . . see, I want to get married, and 10 to 1 I’ll have to work outside the home. . . so therefore I need to have a flexible job that pays good. So basically, I’m set. And besides, people who study acting in college almost never make even ½ of what Nicole Kidman makes.
So actors, some actors. . . where do we get them from? They can’t act. The Fast and the Furious was good for only one reason – the cars. I’m a mechanic’s daughter, I have an inborn love of cars. The acting, my great – grandma could do so much better. That says something. . . maybe I should work with Ebert and Roper, and we wouldn’t have so many idiotic movies. Come on, Ebert, face it, you and Roper can’t criticize movies for shit. I mean come on, no one kisses two seconds after meeting and decides they are in love – at least not in reality – maybe if she’s drunk and he really wants a one-night stand – but come on. . . I wouldn’t do that. . . even if my boyfriend and I started going out like two seconds ago, and he was, oh let’s say living next door to me, I wouldn’t kiss him two seconds after going out with him. And it’s not just the fact that they kiss – they kiss passionately. I see a distortion of reality here – which Hollywood does best. I say we should get Hollywood to make more reality - based movies (not like survivor – that’s not even close to reality) – maybe they should study some sociology and then I might watch more movies than the one’s Disney comes out with.
Don’t get me wrong, Disney makes great movies, and I like horror movies – if they have a plot – like The Ring, and Ringu, Lost Voyage, Ghost Ship, and Psycho (the original black and white – scared the hell out of me), and let’s not forget The Exorcist (so real – I had nightmares for about a good three weeks). There’s two types of horror movies – plot less slasher film i.e. Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm St., etc. . . , which reel in millions of dollars – why? I don’t know – they’re not ever scary, they’re a waste of my time and IQ points. The second type is REAL horror with intertwined plots – like some of my favorites that I mentioned earlier. Some of those will remain unheard of, but they are good. When I want a good scare, I watch them. They get into things very deep, and sometimes things that are or seem very real, and not just the subject of ghost, but heroism, and lost feelings that  are true and deep, that resurge. In The Ring, I didn’t see Noah and his ex – wife kiss once, but you could see all the old feelings floating to the surface. It was beautiful. There was no need for a kiss. It’s the movies where Hollywood has conducted itself best. Well, I’m off. Until tomorrow . . .
