Note: The stories presented below are true. The names have been changed; either made up by me or by the person to which the name refers. Some of the pseudonyms, however, are actively used as screen names by these people.

Bluesman

This guy is great. I know him from NetNude. He always gives good advice, and he cares. That's what counts.

Calvin

I know Calvin from 7th grade. He was the only kid who would sit down and eat lunch with me. Frankly, I was the only guy who would sit with him. Kinda funny how that works, isn't it? Back then he had this little shoplifting problem, but he's over that now. At the first impression, you might think Calvin is a little slow, but given the chance he can be quite clever. He keeps a lot to himself though, so it can be hard to tell what he's really thinking. Since graduating from high school, I see him mostly at Mayro's parties.

Dark Viper

This guy is my best friend. I think I first met him in 5th grade in a program for gifted students, but I didn't really get to know him until I had some classes with him in 6th grade. We shared a lot of interests and quickly became close friends. Unfortunately, since we lived on opposite sides of the school district, we went to different middle- and high-schools after that. Still, we kept in touch, and continue to do stuff together. He was there for me when my love life was in turmoil. I even almost kissed him once - but I knew he wouldn't go for that. He understood though, and didn't even freak out. I can always depend on his friendship.

Deebo

I have known Deebo for a very long time. Actually since I was in 3rd grade, and he was in 1st grade. We were "book buddies" in school. Well the next year, he jumped from 2nd to 3rd grade, and then he started coming to my 4th grade class for math. After that he switched to a different school for a year, then home-schooling, and we kind of lost touch.

A couple of years ago I was talking to my friend Rose, and it turns out that Deebo was her boyfriend. Well a little after that I started talking to Deebo again -- specifically, when I started taking math class here at Ohio State, where he was already a freshman. After moving onto the campus as a full-time freshman, I started talking to Deebo a lot more. Now he's a junior... or is he a senior? I have kind of lost track. Needless to say he's a genious, but he hasn't lost touch with what's cool. He is actually very balanced.

Denro

Denro has been a really good friend of mine since 3rd grade. I first met him in 2nd grade because of my best friend Russ, but I didn't know him well then. After Russ moved away, we got to be really good friends, and we stuck together for a few years.

In middle school, Denro started to get involved with Pokemon and about a million other similar games. So did a bunch of other kids, but they all grew out of it -- except Denro. I guess it became a hobby of his. He's still into that kind of stuff, but he doesnt act like a kid about it -- it's a serious hobby to him. You gotta respect that.

These days, he kinda keeps to himself, besides the occational appearance at one of Mayro's parties. He has developed a couple of other eccentricities, but he's still cool.

Digi

El Padre

Jack Knight

Killer Spikes

Mayro

Mayro is a pretty cool dude. I actually met him at Denro's birthday party just before starting high school. Wow, that was fun. We stayed up all night eating granulated sugar and watching whatever free porn movies we could find on TV. (God help us if Denro's mom reads this!) Anyway, a year later when Mayro started high school, there was this big movie group including me, Mayro, Denro, Calvin, a few other guys and a few other girls who all had dated at least one of the guys. After a while, the social structure of the movie group collapsed. After that, though Mayro started hosting a bunch of LAN parties. That was always fun. Although, sometimes we don't always go to the trouble of lugging our computers to the party. In those cases, we just play truth or dare, or watch movies. Also, his grandma works with AIDS-infected people, so he kinda knows people of widely-varying sexual orientations. It's kinda funny, once he hosted a party and he was almost the only straight guy there! Maybe it's affected him somehow, because he tends to say everyone is gay -- though in a few isolated instances I might agree with him.

Niel

Niel was my boyfriend for about 4 months in early 2003. I have known him as a friend since 6th grade, when Dark Viper introduced us. There was something about him that seemed a little bit off -- I couldn't put my finger on it. But after 6th grade, we went to different middle-schools and high-schools. I sort of kept in touch with him though through Dark Viper. After I moved to OSU campus, I started talking to a lot of my friends online. I was in a 3-way chat with Dark Viper and Niel once, and somehow the conversation turned to my bisexuality. They wanted to know, out of the 2 of them, which one would I more likely date. I hadn't thought about it before then, but I realized that there was something about Neil that I liked, so I picked him.

Later that night, he IM'd me, asking why I picked him. We had a really nice talk that night, and I got to know him much better than before. I found out that there were a lot of inner complexities to his personality that I had never seen before. I found out that he is a lot more sensitive than people think, but too shy to show it. We were pretty good friends then for a few months. After I broke up with my girlfriend a few weeks before Valentine's Day 2003, I started thinking I liked him as maybe more than a friend. He picked up on this -- OK, I actually said something about it -- and he started dropping little subtle hints. I totally missed most of these, but I guess it's possible that they worked on my subconcious mind. The hints started to get slightly more obvious, but I still wasn't getting it. Finally, after what was for me a very depressing Valentine's Day weekend, I think he got frustrated at how I kept missing his hints. He called me that Monday and told me that he felt the same way I did. Of course I was stunned. It seemed too good to be true. We went on our first date a few days later, but it still took about a week before I could even believe he liked me!

Fast forward 4 months, and things are kinda dull. It seemed like I wasn't getting back what I put into the relationship, and there were a few differences between us that were making things difficult, especially his shyness. On top of that, I knew I wasn't actually in love with him, and I was very hurt when I sort of fell for Digi, even though neither of us were single. I didn't want that to happen again, and I sort of promised myself that the next person I date should be someone very special. So I talked with Eric about things and we agreed that our relationship just wasn't to anyone's benefit, so we broke up. Now Eric has found someone else that he is very much in love with, and I am very happy for him. As for me, I'm still single as of this website update.

Quatre

I met this guy in a Yahoo! Chat room. He's pretty cool. We seem to agree on a lot of things. We both like classic rock, and I just found out recently that he is also a roadgeek! Oh yeah, and he is like totally gung-ho on gay pride. Seriously, he treats it almost like a religion. Oh well. You have to be passionate about something, right?

Rose

I originally knew Rose from our CCD class. I forget what that stands for but it's what the Catholics call sunday school. Rose could probably tell you. She did really well in that class, and always knew what everything was about. I didn't know her too well until we had a long conversation at the Confirmation retreat in 8th grade. After the CCD class ended shortly thereafter, we kept in touch online, though we didn't speak very often. She always seemed to have a better handle on doing what's right than I did, and I guess it sort of intimidated me for a while. Eventually we started talking more, especially after I found out she was dating Deebo. Anyway, she's a great friend to talk to, especially when I'm having problems.

Russ

I met Russ on the playground in 2nd grade. He just came up to me and asked if he could play with me. Of course I agreed, but not without commenting that he looked "kinda fat." I wasn't very good at politeness at that age. That's OK though -- he knew he was overweight, and really wasn't offended. Somehow we just sort of clicked together, and became best friends. I think we both had overactive imaginations. Anyway, he is the one responsible for getting me interested in SimCity, (somebody please remind me to do a page about that) a game series of which I am a big fan today.

In the winter of 3rd grade, we had a lot of nasty weather, and therefore, a lot of indoor recess. This gave me and Russ and Denro a lot of time to play together with Legos. I really missed that when spring came.

In 4th grade, Russ moved out of the school district. We stayed friends for a while, but eventually grew apart. He would call every few months, then maybe once a year for a few years, then the calls stopped. I assume he got a lot of new friends. We haven't spoken in years. Maybe I should try to look him up, see what he's up to.

Smitty

The first I heard about Smitty was from Toph. See, he is Toph's neighbor in the dormitory at their university. Things haven't always been smooth between those two, but most of the time that was my fault. Of course, I have always tried to patch things up between them. Last I heard they are getting along.

But I'm getting ahead of myself. The first I heard about Smitty was when he was starting to discover Toph's interest in nudism -- specifically with an incident involving turning the showers into a sauna. Eventually Toph told him the whole story, and then let him talk to me. Well things got weird when Smitty started to figure out that me and Toph were "a team" -- the words of a true jock. Well this is when I started to get to know Smitty first-hand. At a first impression, he doesn't seem to be particularly intelligent -- but then, it's really easy to underestimate him. It's one of those things where you think one thing about a person until you get to know them better and it's really the opposite. I've seen it before. Anyway, he's got an intersting way of looking at things, and can be particularly receptive to people's behavior. When things started to get really messy between me and Toph, Smitty did his best to fix things.

Unfortunately, Toph and I just couldn't stay friends with our history. There was an exchange of pranks between Toph and Smitty that sent Toph to the hospital, just as he and I were breaking off communication for good. There were some really messy loose ends between me and Toph and between Toph and Smitty. A few weeks later, though, when Toph came back, I talked to Smitty and helped him start to patch things up. At the same time, Smitty figured out something about Toph that had eluded me in all the time I knew him. This resulted in me and Toph talking one last time, and we really got some things cleared up. I think we finally achieved closure, and I have Smitty to thank for it.

Sparky

Taelon

Actually, the first time I met Taelon was when he stayed a few minutes after his English class talking to the teacher about some project involving Star Trek. I had class the next period, and I overheard the conversation. I ended up talking to him about it, and taping some Star Trek episodes (because he didn't have cable) and that whole ordeal got us talking. That talk spilled over into lunch, and then Computer Club... and then one night he showed up at one of Mayro's parties.

There is something I gotta say though about Taelon. He is very different from other people. When he talks, he regularly mixes fact with fiction. It's like he has his own little universe that he keeps slipping in and out of. It makes him pretty fun to hang out with. That, and his flare for the dramatic. Sometimes I can't tell if he is serious about something or not.

Toph

Toph was my first boyfriend; my first love. Before that, he was the first nudist my age I ever talked to. Anyway, we were only boyfriends for a few days, but we tried to stay friends for months afterwards. That eventually fell apart, but not before 2 new friendships were formed -- between me and Smitty and between Toph and Dark Viper. Yeah, they are both car nuts.

Everywhere else on my website, Toph is known as Chris. Click the link for the whole story between Toph and me.
