ZechsML
All Zechs, All the Time...

Why was this ML started?
The ZechsML was started because in my wide and vast search for all things Zechs, I couldn't find a list dedicated solely to Bunny-sama. So, I kicked my lazy self square in the rear and made a list of my own.

Who can join the ZechsML?
Anyone who likes/loves/worships/drools over/writes about Zechs-sama and is willing to follow these rules may join.

ZechsML Rules

Be Courteous
We're all here because we like Zechs. It can't be difficult to play nice. Try to avoid rude remarks that might offend someone. This includes name calling or swearing at someone directly over the list. Flames are not welcome, they are not wanted, and the are not tolerated. Flames will result in an automatic boot from the list. They same holds true for anyone who retaliates. Yay for you if you have an opinion. If you want to share it, do it intelligently. Don't allow yourself to sound immature or bratty (even if you are).

Please keep conversation decent so that you don't offend any of the other members. This includes use of language. I personally have no issues with it as I'm a Navy brat. However, I will not stand for every other word in a post being a swear word. Some people are offended by this so please be respectful of them. Note that in fics, language is perfectly acceptable, though I would ask for a warning if there are profuse and insane amounts of it. If you're offended by something said over the list and you think it may become a reoccuring problem, please inform the list administrators privately, ASAFP. Contact info for the list admin can be found at the bottom of this page.

Attachments
I would ask kindly that pictures, midis, wavs, etc not be sent to the ML directly. If you want to share a link to acquire these things, that's all fine and good. Please upload images to our Egroups page. Not all of us you have a T1 connection and 10 free gigs in the hard drive. Text (txt.) files are the only attachments permitted. No HTML files, please!

Spam
Chainletters, virus warnings, and other such nonsense is not welcome here. The posting of spam will result in having posting priveleges being revoked for two weeks.

One-Liners
I don't mind them so long as they're relevant. "Me too" and "Yeah, I agree" are not accetable one-liners. Those can be taken off list.

Spoilers
Remember your spoiler warnings. Assume that everyone on the list has not seen all of Gundam WIng. Don't spoil other series, as well. Some of the unspoiled would like to stay that way. A spoiler is a spoiler is a spoiler. No matter where the spoiler's from (be it from Weiß Kreuz, Escaflowne or whatever). Be sure to mark the post with [SPOILER] in the subject line and at the very start of the post. A spoiler is a major plot twist, a revelation of sorts that occurs/is given out sometime in the middle/near the end/the end of a story.

On Topic
Erm, I'm guilty of getting off topic so... as long as it's not too far off topic, I suppose I don't mind. I'd ask that you don't hold "Hi. How was your day?" conversations over the list. Try to keep it somewhat relatated to Zechs, anime, and fandom in general if att all possible. Please lable off topic posts as such. Use the [OT] tag in the subject line. The admin of the list will post to the list if something is too OT for further discussion.

Keep subject lines on topic. Stale subject lines are bad. If a thread is labeled "Zechs' baby blues" and the discussion has drifted off to the red t-shirt, please change the subject line to read "Zechs' sexy red t-shirt (was: Zechs baby blues)"

There's already an automatic label that reads [ZechsML], but here are some other tags that may be neccessary:

[OT] - Stuff that has nothing to do with Zechs

[Fic] - Fanfiction posted for the list members. Please remember this list was not made to provide you with beta readers. If you want your fic beta read, just ask. I'm sure there are people who have the time and the willingness to do so. Please include the appropriate warnings in your fics as well. [Yaoi], [Deathfic], etc etc. For a complete listing of warnings, go here.

[Spoiler] - An extension of the spoiler rule stated above. This rule is a must! Another way to help prevent spoiling members of the ML is to include Spoiler space Thisis ten to fifteen lines of blank space where the reader has to scroll down in order to read the spoiler. It's rather useful, I highly recommend it.

Plain Text Only!
Stick with plain text e-mail. This is in consideration for those whose systems can't handle anything else.

Quoted Material and Snipping

Quoted material should never be more than your post. Ths means snip out anything that's not relevant to your reply. Do not just hit "Reply," type out your reply on top of the quoted material and hit "Send." That's annoying and will get your posting priveleges revoked for two weeks.

Mark the quoted material properly. When replying, please try to have the lines of quoted material be indicated by ">" or "<< >>". For example:

You wrote:
>Does anyone know when Endless Waltz
>will be aired on TV?

I heard that it'll be played around the
end of October on CN.

Or:

You wrote:
<< Does anyone know when Endless Waltz
will be aired on TV? >>

I heard that it'll be played around the
end of October on CN.

Be Respectful
A re-iteration of the "Be Couteous" rule. Respect your fellow MLers, and the list admin. Always read e-mail from the ML moderators that have [ADMIN] tags in it. Currently, there are two co-managers of the ZechsML: Subaru and Neko Sandy.

If you have broken the rules or are in danger of doing such, you will receive one, singular, solitary private e-mail reminder from one of the list mods to point out what you've done that you may avoid making the same mistake in the future. If you still make the same mistakes after being warned about or in regards to something that the administrators just reminded the ML about, you will have your posting privileges revoked. After a warning a one disciplinary action, another offense is call for removal from the list.

Think! These rules are general and common on most lists. They also keep MLers happy and keep list admin from having their heads spin 360 degrees and projectile vomiting all over!

Have fun! That's what it's all about.

Make sure you've read these rules before subscribing. By subscribing to the ML, you guarantee that you have read the rules and therefore understand that breaking the rules will result in admin action as appropriate (either through a warning e-mail, getting posting privileges revoked, or receiving the almighty boot from the list).
