Tie- Dye & Glass Pianting
Tie-Dye:

Students can create their own tie-dye T-shirts or bandannas and learn history at the same time. The hands-on lesson will include the origin of tie-dye, the ways it is used in various countries, and different techniques of tying the fabric.

This project requires two days and is best done on a warm Friday, allowing the dyed material to air dry over the weekend. Children will enjoy removing the ties and admiring their classmates’ artwork.

Glass Painting:

Before children create their own painted glass projects using liquid lead and other glass paints, they will learn about how glass was made in the past and today. They will also learn how painted or stained glass was introduced into our homes, artwork, and architecture.
