(25.09.05) ALL THE GOOD WORDS ARE READY

Yeah, the album is here, finally!  If you have a Paypal account you can buy a copy by visiting the Strangers Almanac shop, which is right
here.   It will also be available from me at any future gigs I might have.

(19.09.05) ALBUM INFO...
Thanks to everyone who came down to see Avril and I play at the Rep last Monday, it was pretty good fun and nice to have someone else singing my songs along with me.   I suppose the main news right now is that the album is 99% ready, I had some 'printing issues' with the covers so once that's resolved you'll be able to buy the album, directly from this site, for a low low price! Anyway, to see the front cover, click
HERE

Also, look out for a free, download only Strangers Almanac record coming this winter.

(14.08.05) AN UPDATE!

Whoa, haven't updated here in a while.  The good news is that I am going on holiday to Iceland next week (the country, not the supermarket) and when I return get ready for the first Strangers Almanac gigs in almost a year.  (Has it really been that long?)  Starting off on the 12th of September in Dundee.  Gigs page for details!

(23.06.05) YOU CAME TO ME...
Look out for the Strangers Almanac covering 'You Are A Great Wave' by Thee Moths, on a new release from them.  Alex Moth is getting people to cover his work, and will put out a two disc album, one disc featuring the cover versions, and another disc featuring brand new tracks using only samples from the covers themselves.  It's a great idea, and I am happy to be a part of it.  Other contributers include Gerard Black (Otterley), Craig Pulsar, The Faeries, and Mike from The A Forest.

(25.05.05) IT'S EASY TO READ A BOOK THESE DAYS...
You can now download the first Strangers Almanac album, Pocketbook Philosophies, in its entirety,
right here.

(16.05.05) UPDATES ETC:
Well I've been pretty busy, I'm trying to sell my flat and move to Dundee, and once I do that it'll be alot easier to release the new album.  It will be coming out on my own label, Poco Records, by the end of June at the earliest.  I'll give you more information when I have it.  I'll also be doing some gigs to support it, probably in Dundee mainly but if I can show my face anywhere else then I'll try to do just that.  Stay tuned for a busy summer (music wise) for me, and I hope you like the latest design of the site.

(20.02.05) SHOP ONLINE:

I have added a shop over at www.amyhits.com where you can buy various gord related music if you have a paypal account.  Also in the news, 'You'll Catch Your Death' from the last EP peaked at number 12 in the Instatone.com top 40.  Slipped down a bit since though.

(10.02.05) ALBUM UPDATE:
The new album from the Strangers Almanac is coming along nicely.  Recorded a new version of 'Down, Down, Down' for it.  You can hear the original version on the myspace page.  Making albums is great fun, but fairly stressful at the same time.  Stay tuned for more updates, I'm hoping the album will be finished by the end of the month.  Just gotta find a way to put it out after that! Oh, and I don't have a title for it yet.  Suggestions? Mail me.

(10.02.05) SITE UPDATE:

Welcome to the new look Strangers Almanac site.  Hope you like it.

(05.01.05) HAPPY NEW YEAR:
This could be the last update for a while because I'm concentrating on getting new songs for the band written, but I am working on a new Strangers Almanac record.  It's alot different from the first record and the EP, so stay tuned for more on that.  Keep in touch, add me to MSN: sadfootsign[@]hotmail[dot]com
