OK! You made it! Well, I finally got to scan some of my own A R U B A pictures from all different years (early 90's). Take a look... Hope they give you a better idea of what A R U B A 's really like!
Isn't that cool? One day, while out on a snorkeling boat, a guy dove down and came back up with this! It's a pretty large starfish. Don't worry though, he let it go after letting everyone see.
This is the sunset view from the 5th floor balcony of the Playa Linda Beach Resort. I thought it was really great with the palm trees and the boats!
Here is a shot of the Playa Linda Beach Resort. The view was taken from one side overlooking the other. (The Resort is constructed in a V shape)
There I am at the bottom of the Natural Bridge - all the way down there waving to everyone! (The one in the center - wearing white) I know that this picture doesn't do the N.B. justice... but I had to put it in!
This is the other, more desolate side of the island. Dunes and waves are what can be found here. If you keep traveling you will eventually reach the natural bridge. From the stories I hear, they used to feed sharks on this side of the island to keep them away from the hotel side, but that was over 20 years ago. My friends that live there (they are scuba instructors) tell me that there are no longer sharks there.
Here's one more, MUCH BETTER, shot of the Natural Bridge! Isn't it beautiful?!
