We have had four family holidays in Tasmania,the latest one in December, 1998(this was also the longest one - 3 weeks).
As the number of places on this site is growing, I have divided them into separate categories. So follow the links to the type of accommodation in which you are interested.
When searching the web for accommodation and sights in Tasmania, I realised
that places are not all together on one site and we could be missing some
great spots. So I decided to construct my own site and attempt to put as
many places in it as possible.Who knows, one day I might get them all.
There are also links to places we have not stayed in, but which have been recommended to us or which we have seen while travelling and appear to be worth a visit.
On our first trip in 1974 my husband Arvy and I hired a car and spent
8 days touring and staying in motels. That was just enough to whet our
appetites for this fantastic island state.
On our next two trips in 1985 and 1989 we hired a motor home (a great
way to travel with a family!) as we had our three children, Kathy, Steven
and Mark, with us.
In 1998 we travelled over on the Spirit of Tasmania, taking our own vehicle with us, and
stayed in self contained family accommodation in some of our favourite locations, and some
different locations.
