This page lists some of the used Gilbert American Flyer Freight Cars in the collection. She's still working to complete the list and to provide pictures. I have only just begun to upload those pictures. If you're interested, check back often!
Very few of these used Gilbert items are of collector quality (TCA C-7 and above). Some are what I call nice operator quality (C-6), but most are C-5, and some are of lower quality ("well-weathered"). This web page will provide TCA ratings as they become available.
I don't have any of the cars shown on this page; these are pictures she sent me. If you are interested in any of these items, email me at theupstairstrain@yahoo.com and I will have her ship them to me so I can verify condition and we'll negotiate prices that are fair to both you and the widow. It's dirty, but it looks to me as if it will clean up to C-7,
except for a little paint flaking off the frame on the end with the brake wheel.
