Surplus Items For Sale
(last updated July 10, 2009)
From time to time, I post pictures on this page of surplus items I have for sale.  This is generally because I have a duplicate that is in equal or better condition.

At this moment, the only things I have for sale myself are the few new cars listed on this page, but I am about to add a LOT more from three people who contacted me for help selling their American Flyer collections.  Check back often in the coming weeks!  Items included are shown on the following pages:

     -
engines & handcars
     -
passenger cars
     -
freight cars
     -
accessories
     -
sets
     -
parts
    - other stuff - a Marx Glendale station with figures.
There are also a Marx O-Scale foot bridge and some miscellaneous plastic accessories.

Except for very recent cars, I list "book values" from both the 2008 Greenberg Guide and the 2005 Price Update from Bangzoom's Train Tracker software, but don't treat those as firm fixed prices.  I would like to sell these items, or trade them for something on my
Wish List, so make me an offer I can't refuse!!!

If you are interested in buying an item shown here, or in trading for something on my Wish List, email me: theupstairstrain@yahoo.com.  Please include your address so I can calculate shipping charges and send you an invoice with the total.

Shipping cost will be actual cost, and I will happily ship items together to minimize shipping costs.  I accept PayPal and postal money orders.

One of those three people is a lady who is selling her late father's collection on behalf of her mother.  She's in no rush to sell so you can buy things in batches over the coming months.  Her primary interest is that they go to people who will appreciate them as much as her father did.  The whole collection has been kept in an air conditioned outbuilding with a dehumidifier.

I don't have many of the items in that collection; the following pages show pictures she sent me of items that I do not yet have.  If you want any of these items, email me at theupstairstrain@yahoo.com and I will have her ship them to me so I can verify condition and we'll negotiate prices that are fair to both you and the widow.  Separate pages show:

- About 100 of the recent American Flyer
engines and cars made by Lionel.  She and her mother are almost certain that none of these items have ever been out of the box.

- Hundreds of used Gilbert Flyer
engines, freight cars, passenger cars and accessories in the collection

-
Freight cars and Accessories made by American Models, Littletown, Marx, and Lionel
