FREAK HAILSTORM HITS SYDNEY

A freak hail storm swept across Sydney last night, causing damage worth hundreds of millions of dollars and triggering a massive rescue and repair effort by emergency services.  Thousands of homes were damaged as roofs caved in and windows and skylights were smashed.  Thousands more cars were wrecked or badly damaged in the storm, which struck with no official warning.  The ambulance service said dozens of people were treated for cuts and lacerations after being hit by falling glass or hail stones, which witnesses described variously as being as big as golf balls, lemons, cricket balls and rock melons.  The Northern Division SES controller, Mr. Greg Moonie, said it "was as bad if not worse" than the 1991 storm through the northern suburbs, which resulted in 22,000 calls for help from the SES.
In Oxford Street alone, one motorist counted 26 vehicles with smashed windshields after the city was struck at 8:05 p.m. following 15 minutes of spectacular lightening displays.  The storm's force sheered off the side mirrors of some cars.  In the following 20 minutes, the inner-city received the most intense battering as hail ranging in size from 10c (4 inches) pieces to the size of cricket balls rained down.  Many flights at Sydney Airport were cancelled, with some planes damaged by hail.  The two villages of Bundeena and Maianbar in the Royal National Park, south of Sydney, were cut off last night when an eight-kilometre stretch of road was covered by hail stones up to 50 cm (1 1/2 ft.) deep. TONS OF SPINY LOBSTERS WALK OUT OF SEA ONTO SOUTH AFRICAN BEACH

About 500,000 West Coast spiny rock lobsters have stranded themselves on a South African beach, prompting authorities to set up roadblocks Friday to stop people from helping themselves to a free lunch.  The small lobsters, also known as crayfish, were forced to flee a "red tide," which occurs when weather conditions cause rapid growth of a species of algae that lowers oxygen levels and stains the sea red.  the stranding of 100 tons crayfish occurred at Elandsbaai, 160 miles north of Cape Town, officials said Friday.

This "Red tide" is caused by an organism that causes the fish to seep a toxin that changes sea waters and inland waters into the appearance of blood. Inter-Religious Meeting to Promote World Peace

VATICAN (CWNews.com) -- "Everyone must work together to build up the peace," said Cardinal Francis Arinze, as he announced that a major inter- religious assembly will be held at the Vatican in October.

Cardinal Arinze, the president of the Pontifical Council for Inter-Religious Dialogue, told a Vatican Radio audience that about 200 people will be invited to take part in the assembly, which will be scheduled for October 24- 29. The participants will include Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, and representatives of other faiths.

The goal of the assembly will be the preparation of a common declaration in favor of world peace. The participants will make a pilgrimage to Assisi on October 27, and share a day of prayer-- each following the traditions of his own faith-- on October 28. The thought of a revived Holy Office of the Inquisition would pacify some and offend others. Nevertheless, the "Holy Office" still exists. Only it's name has been changed. Pope John Paul II has been instrumental in its revival.

One may argue that this Ratzinger run agency is merely an attempt by the Catholic Church to root out communism or backslidden priests and their practices. However, with John Paul II's objective to implement "God's mandate" by creating a global church-state which will administer from traditional Roman Catholic theology, is enough cause for alarm. Malachi Martin has already stated in his book, "The Keys of this Blood," that the pope will not tolerate any belief systems that oppose his, not on a civil or church level. In John Paul II the world will behold a tyrant who will coldly execute direct orders against those whom he deems are heretics or immoral. Moreover, like his papal predecessors, John Paul II will carry out his "Godly mandate" in the name of Christ, or perhaps Mary. May God help us all.

The wound is almost healed, the inquisition is now REVIVED, and it is here to "pacify" those that speak out against all that the Roman Church teaches. And yes, it does "offend" many. Do you suppose the killings will begin again? Do you suppose the Roman Church would think it is "good behaviour" to kill Christians?
