Transcending Time and Space

Astral travel is leaving your physical body and going wherever you want to go and returning. Another term used to describe this is OBE or Out of Body Experience.

Descriptions of early travel have come from Egypt, Tibet and other Eastern countries. The ancient Egyptians believed in Ka (the astral double) and Ba (the soul) and thus believed either could leave the physical body whenever they wanted to. 

In his introduction to the Egyptians Book of the Dead, E.A. Wallis Budge wrote that the ancient Egyptians saw Ka as being an abstract body that looked like the person it belonged to.

There have been many philosophers that believe this same theory that the Ka can leave the body.

The astral body is a duplicate of the physical one  When you begin to astral travel the Ka leaves the body through the aura between the eyebrows or around the third eye. In my personal experiences I concentrate on my third eye and feel myself just rise above myself and float.

The astral body is attached by a silver cord. This cord is a line of light that joins both bodies. Many people have reported that it is like a pulsating experience, a line with many different configurations.

The astral plane seems to be a parallel universe.

A beginning point to astral travel is Mind Travel. After a progressive relaxation process visualize yourself completely in another room, examine the details, the smells, the atmosphere. Notice your breathing, the temperature in the room and any other things that help you to travel there. Tell yourself you are returning to the relaxed state and returning the original room. Definitions:

Teleportation: the sudden transportation of a person from one place to another.

Bilocation - a word used to describe a situation where one person is seen in two places at the same time.

Doppelgangers - a human double and is closely related to bilocation and astral travel.

Remote Viewing - sending the consciousness to another place instead of the astral double.
