hey there...i'm bRi. i put out some zines, the eldest of which are THE WORLD IS BROKEN and PUKE. my newest babies are GURL (a project with neil of WEINER SOCIETY) and MIA...very soon to come into this broken world of ours. i'm from boston, but i live in albuquerque. i got married to my punk rock gentleman on august 31, 2002. a new issue of PUKE should be out any day now, depending on copy scam situations. some things i really dig are traveling, having friends on the road stop to visit, tom waits, submission hold, the city of lost children, the assassin and the whiner and its lovely creator, anything created by neil gaiman, screenprinting, making soap, trading zines, running a distro when i've got the time and funds to keep it up, meeting rad new people, whiskey, sunrises and sunsets (especially out here in the desert), inactive volcanos, tattoos, good friends, sharing good food with new and old friends, the list goes on...i plan on eventually setting something up so that zines, soap, and patches/tshirts can be ordered from this page or one linked to it. i love mail, and email isn't bad either...

i'm really happy with what i've accomplished just now concerning this page and the awful force that is geocities - it kept eating my work, once again, and i've managed to not flip out. better still, i've got the page pretty well updated. notice the new buttons to the left, and the addition of material from the next issue of PUKE. :) and, for those of you who have been wondering and asking me why i haven't updated my livejournal in a while, well...not too much of interest had been happening around here, except occasional drama that would have been silly to write about in a public space - i don't want to hurt anyone i care about just because they did something silly and annoyed me and i overreacted or wrote something that could be misconstrued. in any event, things have been happening the past week - such as getting time off of work via workers comp, and friends coming to visit. so, after i'm done here, i'll be updating my livejournal. go check it out if you're so inclined. and if you've got any opinions on the new look/additions to the site, please let me know. thanks for stopping by!!

i've updated my livejournal again...another substantial one. :) included is a story from the new issue of PUKE that didn't make it onto this site. the zine is out now, looks beautiful, and you should really check it out. if anyone's interested, i'm also starting my distro back up - i figure i'm not going anywhere any time soon. rich mackin left me a bunch of his zines and a few books to sell when he was here, and i figure i can make copies of my back issues as people want them. also, pretty soon i'll have both videos and cds available from a show that i set up a bit over a week ago...with local bands the jackson 4, the visects, and the 12 step rebels, as well as rich mackin and perhaps some other spoken word. we're working on editing now, and the sales of the media are for a good cause...the all ages space that we're hoping to set up here in albucracky. so it's a nice way to get some good music for cheap, while also helping out a scene full of creative and dedicated kids. (and i'll be adding a page for the distro soon.)
