| When making accusations against your fellow Worlds addicts, consider having all of your information prepared ahead of time. Calling names and being a pompous ass or a deceitful bitch with little or no correct information does nothing more than perpetuate rumour and damage innocent addicts reputations. Having 'a feeling' doesn't cut it unless you happen to be psychic. If your information consists of something as flimsy as say.. a code of some sort. WAA suggests wiping your notes on your ass before flushing them back to the sewer where malicious rumours originate. |

| Do you remember what it was like for you the first time you logged into Worlds? Whether your starting point was Meteor, Aerosmith or GZ, you probably had the same feeling of -- 'holy fuck how do I work this thing??' Learning how to walk, how to dl worlds, what worlds there were to dl.. the things to learn seemed endless. The worlds we wanted to explore seemed endless. Things we all take for granted now. So what do we all tend to do as soon as we latch on to a newbie? (if you're not trying to cyber them) DUMP the weight of Worlds on their pengy assed shoulders. Get them into a hot custom av asap, have them find thier ini files and add shaper, give them tons of great marks and streaming worlds before they've even finished dl'ing or exploring the "Worlds issue" ones.. It can be pretty overwhelming for a pengy who doesn't even realize they ARE a pengy yet lol. And maybe why some don't stick around. Worlds seems too complicated right from the start, it appears like a lot of work. Remember - the newbie's addiction hasn't yet been formed! Once fully evolved, changing textures, taking code, building worlds and having a full social life is old hat and well worth the pain and time to learn. Cut a newbie a break and let them BE newbies for a little while. Not to mention that newbies in a custom av have a tendancy of being accused of being recycled members and often, people will not help them. What's wrong with the beloved Pengy av? Juile or Joe? We do make one exception to our theory - the tye-dyed boy, and that cigar smoking mama Delores must be destroyed immediately. |
