fluffytop!!

**important** you will not find the following funny if you do not know the whole brian molko v. daphne and celeste drama!!  (the brian v. daphne and celeste drama: in short)

sometime in early summer 2000 the girls called him nasty names (like 'ugly into the realm of the beast').  he decided that they (and the nme) were out to get him.  that it was a conspiracy.  that daphne, celeste, the nme, and anyone else involved wanted to launch an anti-brian campiagne.  everyone else in the world laughed at him.  for a really long time.

where 'fluffytop' came from:

laura and i read q (magazine) from cover to cover every month.  this past february they had a witty couple of pages that showed fake valentines.  one of them caught the eyes of laura and myself.  we saw it.  we read it.  we laughed for a really, really, really long time.  this [fig. 1] was it.

ever since then, laura and i have called mr. molko 'fluffytop.'  with good reason.

a sad fluffytop story

so last may laura and i went to a placebo concert.  the whole point of going was to stand in the front row and yell 'oy!! fluffytop!!' really loudly.  (well, maybe we wanted to hear a few songs.  just a little though.) for one thing!! the crowd was full of loud obnoxious kinder-bats (that means dumb little baby-goths, for those who don't know) who made it very hard for us to be loud and obnoxious ourselves.  this was a great disappointment. for another!!  when we did eventually yell, 'oy!! fluffytop!!" the bastard didn't even look at us!!  sure, stefan gave us a funny look, but he isn't named fluffytop, is he??
