chow time
They say that in the Navy the chow is mighty fine. Yea right. They lied. Even when you don't have much else to eat, this food goes down. Just hope it doesn't come back up. Long lines to boot!
Scott , Bobby, Ryan and Kelly are bellying up to the food bar.
mess deck
And this is where you might find an open seat to eat your food.  The mats on the tables are to keep your trays from sliding off on you during high seas. As you can tell it gets a little crowded on these ships. This area is also used after meal hours for a living room so to speak. There is always a movie or a card games going on up here, even an ocassional night of Bingo. Who is doing the dishes? Where is Bobby Watson?

30 November 2001
Well, the day has come for all to know that we are leaving tomorrow morning, as you family members know already. The few of us that were not tied up with the storage of our goods boarded the bus at Margaritaville  this morning. The intent was to be on the ship to greet the Commandant of the Marine Corps, General James Jones, and his entourage.  We were greeted by the Commandant as well as the Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, Alford McMichael, and the former First Lady of Defense, who organized the celebrity guests--Connie Stephens, Gerald McRaney, Barbie Benton, Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, Jr.  Then we anxiously awaited being cut free for liberty for the last few hours before the ship sails in the morning.
