| Cleansing of Jewellery |
| Often, it is useful to cleanse and empower any jewellery that you intend to wear during ritual, or wear as a sign of your beliefs. There are many ways to cleanse jewellery and some of the rituals used to consecrate tools can be adapted for this purpose. I have listed some other ideas below which work equally well: * Place the item of jewellery where it can be bathed in the light of the Moon. You can visualise the power of the Goddess flowing into the item cleansing it of negativity and empowering it with protective and positive energies. This can be repeated in the light of the Sun where the power of the God will cleanse and empower the item further. * The item of jewellery can be placed in a bowl of sea salt overnight. The sea salt will remove any negative energies from the jewellery. After the item is cleansed the sea salt should be returned to the Earth i.e. bury it. * Find a stream of flowing water and wash the jewellery in it. Imagine the water washing away negative energies from the item. I am sure there are many more ways to do this but this is just a sample of some of the suggestions I have come across. It is important to chose something that works for you and it is nice to come up with personal ways to cleanse jewellery. |
