  This page was started to help all of us cope with greedy over-bearing monopoly that forces us to pay 30-55% surcharges to see our favorite acts play live. What do they give us for our hard earned money? Well, they are good at keeping you on hold forever, they force you to listen to the same ads over and over while you are on hold, they hang up on you, their customer service people almost never have any idea about any event or venue, they make you pay the same "convenience fee" whether they mail you the tickets or you pick them up at the venue. And, if any of the above happen to you- YOU'RE LUCKY THAT YOU GOT THROUGH TO THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE!!

You may say that you can still buy tickets without going through ticketmaster. They have the right to charge you whatever they want, and if you use their service, then they can tack on whatever fee they want. The problem lies in the product that they sell: access to entertainment. If you want to see Van Halen or Tina Turner or any other artist out there who plays medium to large size venues, you have to go through ticketmaster unless you want to drive to the box office for the venue. There is only one Van Halen and only one Tina Turner. Ticketmaster knows this and exploits it. Now, for some people who live a long way from a venue, driving halfway across a state or to another state is not a reasonable alternative to get a ticket. Also, try telling someone in New York that they have to drive to Madison Square Garden to get tickets. Ticketmaster (also known as Ticketbastard,) knows this and exploits our love of music and entertainment. So, the alternative to using ticketmaster is not a reasonable option for many people.

I have tried to complain to ticketmaster several times for things ranging from being hung up on to their high prices and if you don't feel like waiting for 47 minutes (that's how long it took me to log a complaint) then don't bother. I waited all that time and nothing was ever done about my complaints. So, I decided to take my case to the court of public opinion. Do you feel cheated out of your money? Do you cringe at the idea of paying a $12.00 "convenience fee" per ticket? Do you hate the lousy service that ticketmaster provides? If so, you finally have a voice!! Feel free to Sound Off on our message board or even send Ticketmaster an e-mail! It's time we stand up to this evil monopolistic corporate monster that leeches off the blood of our entertainment dollar!!

I know that you are probably not going to give one rats ass about this or what I have to say but here goes it. I am all about what everyone on your site has to say, Ive read most of it. Somebody at work the other day was talking about your site. Yes, you guessed it I work for the dastardly devil itself. Yes I know how bad it sucks to work for 6.50 an hour and not get anything of those so called convenience charges they tack on to your poor orders. And yes I do know how incompetent most of the reps are because they hire ANYBODY, and that means anybody. They do not do thorough checks on these people when they hire them. I know what goes on at ticketmaster, Im gonna use master so please dont be offended. I know how to get around all that crap that you guys are going through. I have been there for two years and I have had people like you guys almost everyday. Its hard not to have any type of control what so ever about anything that goes on up there. I am open to any questions about anything. I am actually one of the better ones I guess you could say. I am never rude to anybody. And I know you probably think Im full of it, but im serious. I was actually glad that I saw this site, good to see that theres more than the handful that I talk to everyday fed up with it too. Actually, just for future reference, all that crap we pitch to you guys, we get some money if you accept it and its a royal pain to have to pitch the same shit over and over every day. But it brings home some money, gotta take care of the kid. But anyways, please email the hell out of them, they wont do anything if you want a manager, but by now I think you know that. We also get monitored constantly so all that crap you have to hear over and over, we have to say to keep out crappy ass jobs. But I would like to keep people updated. If at all possible could you not put my screen name on here, I know other people from work look at this and I dont want them to flip out. But I am glad to help anybody out that may have a question about how to get around some stuff.
