I went online at ticketbastard this morning at 7 am to purchase tickets for a concert. I submitted my information and clicked the "submit order" button. Well, ticketmaster had problems with their computer and I never got a confirmation. I got a message saying to call ticketmaster to speak to a represenative. Now, first of all, they are not open until 9 so I had to wait 2 hours. It took over 10 minutes to get through to them and they said that it did not seem I was charged but that I should speak to another represenative in a different department to verify. So, after 5 minutes of some electronic menu, I finally got put on the queue to speak with another represenative. I waited for over 10 minutes for someone to come on and they said that they had no idea why I was transferred here and that I needed to speak with someone in customer service. I said that I had just spoken with someone in customer service and that I had been on the phone for over 25 minutes. She said she was sorry but that there was nothing she could do. That's the problem with ticketmaster...THERE IS NOTHING ANYONE CAN DO! I pay more and more for my damn tickets every year with more and more going to their "convenience fees" and their service is absolutely terrible. I get put on hold for hours and I never get anywhere. Sure, their system works much of the time and it is set up to not have to speak to their powerless represenatives but when you do have to wade through the hours of musak and electronic menus to speak to someone who has no idea why you were sent to them, it sucks. Just for once I would like to find a way to frustrate ticketmaster as much as they have done to me. Their represenatives are rude (probably as a result of being over-worked) clueless about any event or venue, hurried and powerless to tell you anything aside from what seats are available. I often wonder what the hell the damn "convenience fees" go to if their represenatives are are clueless and their computers are always down. All I can say is that Ticketmaster sucks and I wish there was an alternative. They would never get my business again.. I called tickemaster (ticketbastard) at 4:05 for KISS tickets which went on sale at 4:30 and played around with their electronic menu for 20 minutes and got transferred to an operator at 4:25. I wait for 10 minutes and I hear an automated message come on that says: For Kiss tickets, you dont have to wait. Press 1 now! I'm thinking: yes! I am gonna get tickets! So I go through this electronic menu and I press the right buttons to buy the tickets and then I hear a message "This function is not available..transferring to the operator!!!"!"!"!"!"!"!" AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I hate ticketmaster! I then lost my spot in the queue and about 10 minutes later all they have left is frigging balcony tickets!!!!! I HATE THEM! I HATE THEM!!1 Every time I order from them something goes wrong and it is all THEIR FAULT!!!!! I dont know what to do..I am beside myself..I did not get tickets cause the balcony at the Fleet center is too darn steep.. anyway, I get through to the phone operator (who was very rude, they always are..) and she tells me the deal and I tell her I want to speak to a manager and he tells me the only thing he could tell me..that he cant just produce tickets..I told him that I hated ticketmaster and how much I wish I could do business with someone else and that I wished I could make everyone at ticketmaster feel as angry and upset as I am right now. I told him that unfortunately what I say will be ignored when he hangs up the phone but I urged him to find out what happened with the electronic system and make sure it DOES NOT HAPPEN AGAIN! I then said that I can't believe that if I buy tickets from here again that I have to pay them for their service..that is a joke..they should pay me for having to deal with them!! I hate them. I hate the I hate them I hate them I hate them I hate them I hate them.. I dont feel any better writing this because it does not change anything. I dont have Kiss tickets..I will not pay a hundred bucks from a scalper. I know I am preaching to the converted here but I needed to let off steam. - Mike From: Jeff Man.... ok, I got in line today to get Tickets to the Kiss concert in Milwaukee on Dec 20.... of course... LOTTERY!!!... FUCK.... So, I draw my number... I get number one!!!!! YES.... The place I go to get the tickets is very on the ball, they find out what everyone wants in advance and they pull all those tickets as soon as they go on sale and then have everyone pass through to pay... very cool idea. Well... I am number one... my tickets go through precisely at 10am.... exactly when they get on sale. Of course, the first few rows are already gone... so I figure maybe I could get even 8th row or something? NO.... I get section 227, row fucking S... how the FUCK!? Why even bother to try to get closer tickets? Hell, I probably could have waited until now and bought nearly as good tickets. Does anyone know officially (or, actually, really) how the tickets get distributed? Obviously the real fans have no chance on getting close tickets without scalpers. : ( So, anyway, at least I got tickets and honestly, not in the worst place I could imagine... but I would never have thought they would have been so far back with me being the absolute first person in line. I hate ticketmaster... what happened to the days where you could see what places were available and pick them? No, you are fucked by whatever the computer gives, with no feedback regarding what was available compared to what you get. Does anyone know, like, are there any techniques to get decent tickets without going through a Front Row Tickets type scalping service? rrrrrr sucks... They are currently selling tickets to an event I'm going to in St. Louis where they are adding a surcharge of over 50% to the ticket price. The ticket cost is $7 bucks, and the TicketBastard charge per ticket is $3.75! - Ron I just had to send you this email to say THANK YOU! I have the same feelings as you do about TicketBASTARD. It really sucks that if you want to go see a band play you are forced to go through them. The federal gov't should do to them what they did to Microsoft. It is like a monopoly. I work for a LARGE credit card company, in the Disputes Dept and we get calls all of the time about TM. All kinds of things from charging too much to not receiving the tickets. It really sucks to tell people "Sorry but we can't help you". Tickmaster has been a pain in my @ss at work. Their "terms of service" relinquishes them of everything because it is always NO REFUNDS PERIOD! Even if you don't get the tickets! When someone buys something with their credit card they have the right to dispute it if say, they don't get their merchandise. Well with TM if you don't get it OH WELL! They give you some ridiculous alternative like picking it out at the box office, and sometimes when that happens they aren't even there! AND THEN they won't reimburse you for the shipping charges on the tickets they were suppose to send to you. Sorry for the lengthy email, but it feels good to vent!....lol I hope something is done about this "monopoly" soon. Thanks again for the web site! fellow TM hater. Patti |
