Our camper is a 1981 Starcraft Starmaster LT 1906.

(Ok, by now you're thinking I'm just a tad "obsessive compulsive" but that's what it says on the title and I'm sticking with it!)

We are the third (and last, because I'm never getting rid of it) owner of this wonderful contraption we like to call "La Casita Vejahera" or "The Little House That Travels".

Those of you out there who have been searching for a used pop-up in good condition (and I know who you are so, STOP CALLING!) will probably want to strangle me when I tell you we absolutely lucked in to this little beauty in perfect condition for a cool grand!

You can't fault a guy for getting lucky, can you?

Anyway (since we migrated from being a young couple car camping at keggers, to tenting with kids, to enjoying our Starcraft's luxiorious accomodations) La Casita has been the focal point of many action-packed excusions; camping fully wired and totally dry, functioning as a guest room, and even serving as the home base for a bachelor party!

Very little was needed to bring her up to snuff. All cosmetic, no mechanical or electrical issues. I have replaced the dinette cushions with thicker foam and updated covers and added the awning. To eliminate the midnite trips to the campground bathroom I have added a porta potty. It is not "hard mounted" into the camper as yet, but that is one of my first projects come spring. I'll make sure to post pictures of that project here. In the event of rain we have the 9" TV/VCR combo and my laptop with a DVD ROM so the kids can watch movies and stay occupied (can't kids just "play in the rain" anymore?)

All that remains is to replace the foam and covers on the bunks and put in new curtains and "Viola", a brand new 23 year old camper!

But, then again, I could really use a couple of electric baseboard heaters for those chilly nites and an AC unit for those hot days (Oh, GOD! Someone please stop me!)
