May 17,1996:Sega of America,Inc. today announced at the E3 that it has droped the suggested retail price of its next-generation Sega Saturn video game system to $199 effective immediately.
May 16,1996: Sega of America today announced its next round of exclusive Arcade hits for the Sega Saturn. Virtua Cop 2, Fighting Vipers, Manx TT, And Virtual On. (All of them in My opinion were FANTASTIC looking on the Saturn. I couldn't beleive my eyes when I saw them.). Virtua Cop 2 is the sequel to the Popular game of the same name. But its faster, smoother, and there are MORE bad guys on screen. It will be released in the Winter of 1996 and will retail for $59.99. Fighting Vipers (Although not to popular in the Arcades) has spectacular effects, seven characters to choose from, and even a "triple take" camera shot that replays the finishing move three times at different angles. Available NOW. Manx TT is a perfect arcade translation and unleashes Saturns full potential. It runs at 60!! Frames a sec. And you can feel all the speed of it without losing the rich graphics that were in the Arcade. Manx TTwill be available around March of 97, latest April. Virtual On is based on a Mech-style shooting, cyber-racing, and hand to hand fighting. You can Run, Walk, Or Fly. You can choose diferent mechs and weapons. Another game for Saturn that will blow your socks off. It is available NOW.
May 16,1996: Extending the functionality of the Saturn is an Internet connector that will enable consumers to have Internet access, network games, plus Sega Saturn's FULL library of software and the ultimate interactive experience - all under $200 dollars if you already have a Saturn and a complete package(Saturn and peripheral) for under $400. Called "Sega Saturn Net Link" this Internet connector will be available this Fall in the U.S. and consumers will be able to brows the World Wide Web,play internet games, and have E-mail capabilites.(From what I found out at the Show is that...the Modem will be a 28.8, You should be able to use ANY WEB SERVICE that accepts SLIP/PPP and you will be able to use a standrd IBM keyboard and a SEGA mouse.
