Twiddle Desire, Consistent or Lucky?
As many of you know, I am playtesting my version of Osamu Fujita's Twiddle Desire Deck.  Through extensive playtesting, I propose a conondrum to you...do you think that Osamu Fujita got lucky on Day 1 of Pro Tour: New Orleans?

Although the threat of a turn TWO kill is possible with the insane acceleration of the deck (I agree, Mr. Walamies, I am glad they slowed the format down), the fact that you could be top decking if you can't find a second desire on turn three or four is disturbing.  Although this is not a real problem with the deck, the fact and chance that the main turn two card, Diminishing Returns (2UU, sorcery, all players shuffle their hands and graveyards into their libraries.  Remove the top ten cards of your library from the game.  Each player draws seven cards.  Sixth, Alliances) could remove every chance of you winning the game at all.  Some people play with three Tendrills of Agony, but I use the decklist
here with only two.  I can consistently win on turn 2-4.  In the slight chance that I can't win in those turns, I simply have to out-race my opponent if I myself am not dead on turns 2-4.  Although this deck got Osamu to Day 2 of 3 (day three being the top 16).  Although it is a somewhat stable deck based on the tinker engine, it could be terribly affected by the DCI's bannings in January.  Which again leads to my "The Rock is NOT dead YET!," ravings, but with the current speed of the format, only decks that are this fast can compete.  Believe me, I got my backside handed to me when I went up against Gobvantage with charbelcher, although I didn't see the belcher.  I did, however, see a bunch of hasted goblins that consistently killed on turn 3-4.

Anyway, what do you guys think?  Do you think this is a "solid" deck that could be winning tourneys?  Or do you think this is a deck consisting of Japanese luck?  Post your opinion in the forum at Matt's website under my string
here.
