History

The art of Ju Jutsu originally hales from Japan and can be traced back to approximately 600BC. The art was truly established in Feudal Japan as a method of unarmed combat.

Modern Ju Jitsu is a very different art compared to the traditional Japanese Schools ("ryu") that teach Ju Jitsu alongside with the use of the sword, spear and other weapons. These are referred too as "Koryu", or traditional arts

Trying to establish a link to the past with modern ju jitsu styles is somewhat akin to trying to unsramble an egg, this is because many of the modern arts have taken aspects of other arts, such as Aikido, Judo and Karate and combined them with their own
