| Flemish Giants are a great breed to own! They are a very sweet and laid back breed. Most people think that since they are so BIG, that they must be hard to handle, but that's not true. We even hold them in our arms like you would a baby doll! :-) The Flemish Giants get up to around 20 pounds on average, but here in the south where it's HOT, most only get up to 16 - 18 lbs, but we have saw one that weighed 22 1/2 lbs.! There's 7 different ARBA recognised colors of Flemish. There's Black, Blue, Fawn, Lt Gray, Sandy, Steel Gray, and White. The Blue and Blacks are mostly "Northern" colors, and hard to find here in the south.
