Please pray that God will give inspiration and revelation to all contributors, using them to His glory and for the edifying of every reader. Nugget #6: Background Passage: Exodus 3-4 Focal Passage: Exodus 3 Doubting your worthiness to serve in God's kingdom? Feel God has a call on your life, but afraid to receive it? Fear of failure or abandonment keeping you from succeeding in life? Just feel like a complete failure in life? You're not alone. Moses went through the same thing. But luckily God has a remedy for our every inadequacy! When Moses complained and made excuses, God did not pump up his ego or try to hype him up concerning his own power. He didn’t even acknowledge the complaint, save to tell how He would replace the inadequacy. God's remedy for our inadequacy is the power of the Holy Ghost! Acts 1:8 tells us that after we receive the Holy Ghost, we shall have power and will be God’s witnesses! Our help and strength is in God, and with His Spirit, nothing is impossible for us. So as you study Moses's complaint/inadequacies, find the one(s) that most closely fit yourown, and see what provision God has made for it........................................ |

Moses's Complaint/Inadequacy |
God's Response/Remedy |
Ex 3:11- Who am I to do such a great thing(nobody knows me! I don’t have a big name! I come from a small church in a small town…..) |
Ex 3:13- I don’t even know who to say sent me! They won’t pay me any attention if I go on my own, so who should I say sent me? How can I convince the people to follow me?(I don’t even have any credentials to go before me, no big time preacher or popular person that can vouch for me and my worthiness to be saying what I’m saying! There are people here who have been through hell, and nothing I can say or do, and no other big time preacher, can change that or make it better for them. These folks have gone to service after service, have given to the man of God all they could, and still have left in the same condition they’ve come in. They don’t want to listen to somebody like me, a murderer, a mere sheep watcher. How can I make them listen?) |
Ex 3:12- It’s not about you. I will be with you; you don’t have to be anything. I’ll be there to do all the work; I just want you to be the vessel through which I work. |
Ex 3:14-22- It’s not about you. They won’t really be following you, just tell them I AM sent you. I AM who or what, they may ask? I AM THAT, I AM. Whatever they desire, I AM THAT. Whatever they need, I AM THAT. Whatever they’ve been searching for, I AM THAT. No matter what they want, they can find it in me. Just follow the one who I AM sent, and you’ll find everything you need and desire. See, before, they were looking to the man to supply their needs. But let them know that they can find everything in ME, not in man. I just send man to lead them to me, but it is in ME, when they find ME, that they find life. I was there for your fathers; I will be there for you. I am the same yesterday, today, and forever more! Tell them I have seen what they’ve gone through, and I am going to be the one to bring them out of it. I will do it, so it’s not that they trust YOU, but the I AM in you! When they see that you are coming not of your own volition or for selfish gain, they will listen to you. Even when they trust you and you go before them and you try to do things for them, it will look like it’s not working. But don’t worry. I am in the midst of it all, working it out, I will be the one to turn the heart of the king, I will be the one to make things happen. So tell them not to worry about your fallacies and shortcomings and inadequacy, I have the remedy for all of that, right here in the hem of MY garment. |
