4:58pm

Chester did run to the side of the building, but it wasn't to call Pearlman. As a matter of fact, Chester was Pearlman.  However, he didn't want his friends to find out that he was the superhero who had so diligently protected them from squirrels.  For at American University, these were no ordinary squirrels.  These squirrels had an agenda: to steal the water supply of AU's campus.  And at long last, they seem to have succeeded.
In the past, since Fall 2001, bottles water, Brita water filtration systems, and even bags of ice had been disappearing all over campus.  The heinous crimes were blamed on campus fraternities, but in actuality, it was the squirrels stealing water on behalf of the elusive Squirrel Queen.
With Pearlman's perseverance and devotion to protecting the water supply, thefts have decreased drastically.  That is, until now...

Once he was hidden from view, Chester threw his leather jacket and boots aside, donning his Pearlman disguise.  Midway through, his phone rang.
"Yeah, right," he answered.  "Yeah, what's up, Quinnsause.  Yeah, I know it's time for family dinner, but you and Adam will have to do without me today...yeah, see ya."
Chester gathered his belongings, hid them, and got ready to face the public as Pearlman.  As he stood to leave, he spotted a dark figure in the shadows, beckoning to him.  Slowly he turned; step by step, inch by inch, he approached him.  As he got closer, he began to recognize the man's face.
           "Hey, aren't you-"

"Call me Deep Throat," the dark figure said.

"Ok, so are you going to give me information, or what?" Chester asked, trying to remember everything he remembered from
All the President's Men.

"Stuttering, cold and damp, steal the warm wind, tired friend,"  Deep Throat responded.

"What the f- are you talking about?" Chester asked, confused.

"Times have gone for honest men, sometimes far too long for snakes," he continued.

"I see," said Chester, as he slowly realized that he was going to have to decipher these messages.  "Anything else?"

"In my shoes, walking sleep, in my youth I pray to keep.  Heaven send hell away..." Deep Throat continued.

"So I guess I should look for people here on campus to see if they know anything," Chester said, trying to get back to the matter at hand.

"No one sings like you anymore," he finished.  But Chester was on his way to investigate the disappearance, to save the day.
