From Denver, Make your way to I-76 and go north-east towards Nebraska. Set your cruise control because you’ll be on this road for a while (aprox 180 miles). Along the way you can stop in Ft. Morgan, Brush or Sterling for gas and food. Unless you like country music, bring some CDs as any good radio station will soon fade. Nebraska, As you cross the state line, things will start happening quite quickly. First, you will merge onto I-80. Don’t worry about turning as you will just go strait and I-80 will merge with you on the right. The next exit is Big Springs, get off here. Cross over the highway north on Big Springs Road (25B). There is a truck stop on the north side of the road. I recommend topping off your gas tank here. You will not see another gas station until you travel back through this town. Continue north through the sprawling metropolis of Big Springs, Nebraska and cross over Highway 30 keep going north to Highway 26. It is about 14 miles from I-80 to Hwy 26. Don’t worry about missing Hwy 26 since Big Spring Road ends there. As you get to 26, you will see a sign that states, "Lake McCaunoghy" and dispalys an arrow to go west. Disregard this sign! Go east on 26 for about 13 miles to Lakeview Road. The road is marked by a giant wooden sign on the south side of the road (Van's Lakeview). Go north towards Van’s Fishing Camp (about 4 miles). As you enter the camp, you will see a boat with "Bayside Colf Course" painted on it, turn left here (Lake View Road). As you travel up the hill, look over to the right. You’ll see a small cluster of town homes at the top of the hill about a mile away. That’s Us! They don’t like much from there but trust us, they cannot be appreciated until you actually get here. Lake View road will zig zig around for all most 2 miles before taking you to the Eagle Bay Town Home Property. 24 Eagle Bay Brule, NE 69127 |
