After being created by Dr. Gero, Cell evolutionised from an egg into this version of Cell. At this stage, Cell only sticks his tail into people to generate more energy into his body. Cell started destroying towns after hatching in the wild to obtain more energy from citizens.

After taking many lives, Cell evolved into the second stage. This time, he is getting closer and closer to the perfect body. However, he still needs to suck Android #17 and #18 to morph into the next stage. Desperate for both Androids, he started looking for both Androids who were both unaware of Cell's existance.

After sucking Android #17 and #18 into his body, Cell evolved into the 3rd stage. He gained more strength, speed and ability after that. He was almost destroyed by Gohan but because of Gohan's ego, Cell managed to blow himself up and redevelop into Ultra Perfect Cell.

This is the most powerful version of Cell. Plenty of energy till his power level can match with Gohan's Super Saiyajin 2 energy. However, Gohan, with Gokou's help still managed to destroy him after challenging Cell's KaMeHaMeHa.
