SCGS - Singapore Chinese Girls' School
SCGS - Sincerity Courage Generosity Service
i can't really remember how i passed my primary school days. more recollections from my secondary period onwards. but both are as precious to me.

in primary school then, my father was in the armed forces that required him to reach office super early; and since he's driving me to school, i reach super duper early.. that time in the old emerald hill building, the corridors so high, the lights so dim, the doors so tall, that even the silence seems to explode in my ears.. fine, i was a timid little girl then.. but it does felt like i was moving in a giant's house.. i wasn't even 1 metre tall then...

i remember too the canteen. if you have known one scgs girl well, then you must have heard about the mee-pok man. if you have heard about the mee-pok man, then you will be super shocked to know that i never ate a bowl of mee-pok until i reached upper primary school. i only ate chicken rice cos that was what i was taught to buy. guess i was really super timid then.. but by a twist of fate one day, i got to taste it, and thereafter, i was totally converted. though my friends would tell you it's the amount of vinegar i add to it that makes me a devout consumer. +p but they too agree it's great.

teachers... those who wasn't just a passer-by.. those who i attribute my current success to. don't worry... you've bypass the stage where i can blame my failures on. =P
mr tang, the long-suffering form teacher for my final year (sec 4/3) who cos of my class's antics suffered miserably.

both ms sies who can't seem to let me off (both for different reasons =P).

ms c. chua who was my form teacher in sec 2 was the one who REALLY started to attempt to build my confidence level, but i think she'll remember me best for my miniscule handwriting. =P

lao-shi aka music lee from primary school who taught me how to play my only muscial instrument - recorder.

ms colleen goh from pri 5 who.. i don't remember.. but i just like her. =)

ms irene kwok who surprisingly still remembers my name after all these years when i thought i was just a nobody. =)
friends... let me list down all the names of those i still do think of after all this while... once in a while... or at least was a name i'll always remember, and with it carries a face that i shall still seek in the crowds when i walk... =)
isabelle and peishi from my very start of schooling life. and who i still do keep in contact (albeit once in a very long while)

charlene tan and her sister tiffany whom i was very close to until she left singapore. i never saw them both again..

my sec one gang - melanie, clara, melisa, sonita... in fact! melanie... where have you been.. you forgot our 7-year-pact!

and then my whole sec 4 class with special mention kat, kay, ling who till now stubbornly remains with me and support me while i commit my faux pas, screw up my life, but at the same time add on to my credentials... drama fest, teacher crisis, our own crisis.. not to mention our ability to bitch together.. are something that i've not been able to replace completely. memories are always sweet aren't they?

nestling on a hill, sparkling like a gem
you're the school so dear to me
you're the sheer delight, in the noon day light
bustling with activities
looking so demure, graceful yet secure
you are the school that's meant for me
where i spend the best years of my life
