Sailor Pluto or Meioh Setsuna

Meaning of the name: Instant dark ruler

First time Sailor Pluto appears is in Sailormoon R, at first as the mysterious figure from the future shown by Luna P's eye that Chibiusa calls Puu, then fully, always throughout Luna P, when Chibiusa is threatened from the army of the Black Moon and the intervention of Sailor Moon and the Inner Senshi is fondamental to free the Small Lady from the nightmares that oppress her. It's Sailor Pluto to ask the presence of the Sailor Senshi, so that they can go into Chibiusa's dreams and protect her from the dangerous attacks tormenting her.

Sailor Pluto is a lonely fighter, more mature than the Inner and, in smaller manner, the other Outer Senshi; she also is the guardian of time. Her powers are huge and her wisdom is enormous, grown up in the centuries during whom she had accomplished responsabily her duty. Her deep glance shows gloom and determination, the first because of the loneliness of her life, the second because of the consciousness of her very important role to mantein the world's stability.

After the shorp appearence in the second series, Sailor Pluto arrives on the Earth as Setsuna Meioh, a friend of Haruka and Michiru's, in the third series, to gather the three talismans and get the Graal: the third talisman, the Garnet Orb, after that the other two were found into the two Senshi's hearts, divide itself from Sailor Pluto's Time Staff. The energy released makes the talismans free from their inside the two girls' heart crystal giving back the life to them, and activate the power able to create the Graal. Then it was no necessary to kill the owners of the talismans, if they were released all together.

After recovered the talismans and the holy Graal, Setsuna gathers to her friends Outer Senshi with a new mission, to find the Messiah able to defeat the darkness using the Graal. Since then the Outer Senshi always appear together, until, trying to reach by helicopter the roof of the Mugen Institute where the Death Busters were recovering, shooten the helicopter itself by a powerful electric energy that makes it explode, Sailor Pluto must use her forbidden power, stopping the time, to allow her younger friends to save themselves and carry on the mission, and she is temporarily banned from Earth.

Sailor Pluto finally come back on the Earth at the beginning of SailorStars, when goes to professor Tomoe to take care of his child Hotaru, Sailor Saturn, again a baby after what happened in S. Again, she sets up house together with the other Outer, that this time make up a real "family" for baby Hotaru.

In the Senshi's opinions, Setsuna appears as an older sister, always able to give good advices on what to do, thank to her huge wisdom. But, because of the big age difference, Sailor Pluto has not relationships stronger than these with the Inner Senshi. Her only true friends are Haruka and Michiru, and the Small Lady, to whom she's very affectionate; like Haruka and Michiru, at the end, she shows a deep affection to Hotaru.
