FREELANCER JOURNALS
Listed here are the various journals and papers of the Freelancers. Where necessary for reasons of security, some names and contact emails are not given.
Animation
Sign For Evolution:
TV Tokyo, 2002
13-Episode Television Series, chronicling the story of Mindbreaker Kyouta Kamikurata and how the Aquarian age changed his life. There is more emphasis on drama than
actual action, which makes this a nice series to watch if you're tired of mindless martial art fights, while having just enough action to keep you interested. Primary focus, however, is on character interaction.
Saga II ~Don't Forget Me~:
OVA, 2002
Direct-to-DVD video, not a direct sequel to the TV series. It is based on
Saga II and was partially inspired by the 5-minute animated advertisement
released for the Saga II Card Game in 2001. (Further Information Pending).
Manga
There are various Manga available for Aquarian Age; tons of which are Doujinshi Anthologies collated in various volumes. There are also Manga series that deal with Aquarian Age as a card game
(a'la Yu-Gi-Oh) rather than the story itself. For purposes of simplicity, the Manga pages will only deal with the Official Aquarian
Age Manga that deal directly with the storyline.Aquarium Capriccio:
Kadokawa, 1999-2000
Manga Series for Kadokawa, the first official Aquarian Age manga.

The Memory of Wings (Tsubasa No Kiyoku):
Kadokawa Dragon Jr., 2001-2002
Manga Series for Kadokawa Dragon Jr., originally intended for a younger fanbase,
thus is spare in artwork. However, it also describes an important event in the
Aquarian Age timeline; highly recommended, as this uses easier language than
most japanese manga available.
|
The Geneaology of a Star:
Kadokawa Dragon Jr., 2002
One-Shot Manga for Kadokawa Dragon Jr., it is actually a sequel to Memory of Wings, with older characters, more mature storyline, and a marked improvement in art. Apparently takes place after the TV series.
|
Juvenile Orion:
Grafitti Comics/Broccolli Books, 2001-2003
Developed simultaneously with the Juvenile Orion spin-off card series.
Five-volume manga series (still ongoing) featuring male faction members and a female mindbreaker.
Newsstand release for Volume 1 will be in April 2004.
Other Characters:
There are other characters of note that have not been covered by the Anime or Manga series. These are usually special character cards, or else characters seen in magazine exclusives.
