Pilot: Rei Ayanami
The proto-type model. It was never actually for real combat, but is forced to fight on several times. In episode 6 it was badly injured in a fight with angel and it was repaired and refitted with blue armor and shoulder blades (It was orange before).

Eva Unit 01

Pilot: Shinji Ikari
The test-type model. It is the most powerful in combat and is in combat the most.

Eva Unit 02

Pilot: Asuka
The first production model. It features four eyes and is simpler than the test-type. In combat, which it was made for, it seems to preform not as well as the other Evangelions.
