LEGAL QUERY: Copyrights?
All copyrights remain with the companies that own them, except for all ideas that were originally mine. Basically, the game system and mentioned terms (e.g. Diablerie, Feats, etc) are copyrights of their respective companies. Other information such as game titles, story concepts and the like are mine. Normally, each game session shows a link to the game design company that made the system which inspired the session. The "Lurker System" is the only system so far which was my original idea.

NEWBIE QUERY: What are roleplaying games? What's table top, pbem and larp?
Some definition of terms for the newbies out there:

roleplaying games - a hobby/game where at least two people craft a story using fictional characters, and their imagination. Variations of the game range from using instruments for decision resolution (such as dice, playing cards, colored stones or even simple decision-making) to the theme and setting of the game. (There are games during the modern nights, such as Vampire: the Masquerade, or games set in historical times such as Witchcraft. Then there are fictional settings, such as Castle Falkenstein, as well as pop-culutral ones like Big Eyes, Small Mouth which is focused on anime.

table top - Playing a roleplaying game face to face with another player minus the acting that normally occurs in LARP. Tend to be the most common of games.

pbem - short for Play By EMail. The game is held via email that is sent back and forth with the postings and responses. Normally takes approximately two to three months to play, minimum.

larp - short for Live Action Role Playing. Sort of like improvised theater where the players enact their character's mannerisms and body motions. The situation, unlike table top, tends to require direct action.

1.) Are the games here free?
Yes. I am a firm believer that the best things in life are free, and roleplaying is one of them.  Hosting roleplaying games is one of my favorite pastimes.  I see no reason why I should charge anything for it. Its bad enough that simply going online costs us money. Why should I add to the expense?

I admit, though, that I would LOVE to earn money for doing things like this. But until some rich guy shows up, offers to make me a steady income in exchange for handling roleplaying games... well, I have to toil like the best of them and give games for free.

2.) Are you Satanic?
The answer to ths question is NO. I am a Catholic and I believe in God Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth.  I believe in Jesus Christ, our Saviour.  I believe in the Holy Spirit.  But I also believe that everyone has a right to his or her own choice in expressing their belief and faith.

3.) Do you have to have an email account to join a PBEM?
DEFINITELY.  Or else it would be relatively impossible to be part of a Play by EMAIL game.  There are sites out there that use Message boards and MUDS, if that's what you're looking for.  Here though, its PBEMs or table top games, with an occasional LARP or two.
Check out Yahoo! or Catholic.org for free email.

On the other hand, a table-top or a LARP game do not need email. They're played face to face with other players after all. Some people, though, use email as an added method in gaming. My Lurker System used email as a way to continue the gaming experience even during breaks.

4.) Are there RULES in joining?
Of course.  Each area has a general rule. Individual games also tend to have individual rules applicable for the game itself. You should find the general rules under the general categories, while the specific rules within the pages of the game itself. For an example of specific rules, see the character guidelines for submitting concepts for the Victorian Game, 1888.

5.) Don't I need special __________ (plug-ins, programs, hardware, skill, talent, book, etc)to play in a PBEM? How about in other role-playing games like LARP?
Nope.  All you need is an active email account, a vivid imagination, and a sense of open-mindedness.

Books are vital if you plan to RUN the game. But if you're tying it out, you can always play with other people who already have the book.

6.) Aren't you just trying to corrupt young kids with thoughts and images on death?
Nope.  First of all, this site is meant for mature people. I don't see why age is the factor in maturity. I believe maturity is a mental state. If the person can differentiate Fiction from Fact, and maintain a good lifestyle, then he is mature.
Sadly, due to legal purposes, I require my players to be at least 18 years of age. I do leave it to the individual to admit the truth of his age

7.What does Diablerie mean?
Diablerie is a term used in White Wolf's Vampire: the Masquerade game. It is one of my favorite games. You'll need to check out their stuff to learn its meaning.
As to why I chose that as my nickname for the site, I like its edginess. Its catchiness. The sound of it.

8.) Any more questions?
Write to me.
