Well, well, well. One of the passions of my life.... This one may become huge, so be patient.
First off, I LOVE MUSIC! It is one of the biggest things I have. My CD collection is HUGE and still growing.
The strange thing is..... well, I'm not a fan of just one style of music. I'll pretty much love anything.... that is until country comes around.
That is one style I hate with a passion! It's one that I've only found one that I like and really, that CD is all bluegrass. "O Brother Where Art Thou?"
That is some good music there. Well, I'll move on now so I don't anger myself too badly.
Well, I finnaly have felt the wonder of concerts this summer. I went to my first concert at King's Island this July. Third Day was the headlining band for the show.
It was the best concert I could've chosen for myself. Then a couple of weeks later, I got to go to my second concert. It had Micahel W. Smith and Mercy Me with The David Crowder Band as a guest act.
Sadly, I have no photos of ether of these events for you.... but I do have some from my latest concert that I went to on the 15th of October. It was headlined by Mercy Me and had one of the bands on their label, The Afters, Performing. Hope you like them!
This woul be the entrence of The Afters!
Another shot of The Afters...
This is the lead singer of The Afters, Josh. Ironic name choice ain't it?
This is a band Mercy Me just signed onto their new record lable. They are... The Afters! And They ROCK!
"Here With Me" is Being Performed by Mercy Me.
Mercy Me playing "The Change Inside Of Me".
This is one of Mercy Me performing one of their songs later in the show.
If you want to see some more on these guys, check out their website at mercyme.org
One of the songs that hit me the most has to be "Keep Singing"
That song was written by Bart through the struggles that he and his bandmates had been through the last year. You see, they lost eight family members and close friends over the course of the last year
This song is reminding Bart, the band and all of us to keep worshiping God like there's no tommorow. That's what we were created for.
That's where we find comfort.....That's where we find peace.
Christian Music is the one that started it all for me. This style has been with me my whole life and I don't intend to leave it ether.
Basicaly, that's all my music is. It was just worship music but now I'm branching more in other directions as well with my reputare of styles in the genre.
At some point, you'll probably hear about the band Narrow Way. OK, maybe not, but we're still working on it. Anyways, that would be some of my closest friends and I struttin' our musical stuff. If you don't know the guys and gals that I am proud to call my friends, I'd recomend for you to go to my Friends page before you read any further.
Ok, back on subject. I'll have you know that the Wildman will will be doing our percussion for us. He's going to be using the Daijumbe(I think that's how it's spelled) drum. We will be needing a drummer that plays a drum set in the future, so be on the look out for casting calls!
Just to let you know, he's a prime member of the group, and will not be left behind for any reason, unless he wants to leave. Then we have my lead guitarist. He's also one of the founding members of the band and I hope that he will be staying with us in the future. It's Patrick!
He's one of the best I know. He's been helping me with the writing of music on some songs and I have been helping him with the lyrics on some of his. He's a great friend of mine and also the best instrumentalist in the band. I hope we never loose him.
We don't have a bass player or Keyboard player right now, so those spots are open too. Me, I've been doing lead vocals with some guitar on the side, but mostly vocals. I've been writing a couple of the things that we are going to use in the future, we just need to find the time to practice it.
That's enough about the band, so I'll just leave it to the music to show you what we're about. I'll put it up soon.
