Please note that the Department of Defense server on which these manuals reside is very frequently down for maintenance. If you cannot access a non-restricted manual, it is almost certainly due to this fact. Amatuer (Ham) Radio Page You'll need more communication capability during disasters than your lil 'ol CB radio. Here are the links to help you get your HAM license. You don't even have to know code anymore to get on the ham bands! I've added a link to an Austrailian site that gives a complete (FREE) electronics course that will prepare you for that portion of the FCC exams. You can download all their .PDF files and study at your own pace. If they should close down the site, I have all the files and can forward them to you via e-mail. Many Survival Files Loads of files in PDF, TXT, or ZIP formats so you can download them to your hard drive. They have shut down the server that these files were on so if you want one, run your mouse over the title and send me the file name!
