I created this 50th Anniversary logo for Junior's camp,
Camp Cedar in Casco, Maine.
1991
My most notable art work is the design I did for the creation of the San Jose Sharks team mascot,
S.J. Sharkie. My brother Dean created the idea, I drew the chracter sketches, and Sharkie was "born" in a Philadelphia costume shop in December of 1991. Sharkie debuted in mid-January at the Cow Palace in South San Francisco and remains a staple at all Sharks home games to this day.
1996
A pen sketch of 1996 Rookie-of-the-Year Damon Stoudamire, then of the Toronto Raptors. A co-worker noticed it at my desk and asked if I wanted to include it in a box of basketballs being sent to Damon for his autograph. I said yes, and the drawing returned a couple of weeks later, signed.
1996
A simple pencil portrait of the NBA's Shawn Kemp, then a member of the Seattle SuperSonics.
1995
A logo I created for the summer camp I spent 8 summers at in Bridgton, Maine.
1997
While working as an editor on the NBA Entertainment-produced TV show,
NBA ACTION, I was given the opportunity to submit ideas for the show's newly designed logo. This was my final submission and, although it was not used, the concept was the basis for the logo that was adopted.
1994
I gave this color pencil drawing of NY Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor to one of my old players, Justin Brunwasser, on his Bar Mitzvah Day.
1995
A marker-on-pillowcase drawing of Yankees' firstbaseman, Don "Donnie Baseball" Mattingly.
1995
Here's a marker-on-t-shirt drawing of current Yankees' pitcher Roger "The Rocket" Clemens during his Boston Red Sox days.
1995
My all-time favorite...a puff-paint-on-t-shirt picture of rock guitarist Jimi Hendrix.
