This I Promise You Chapter 12
			Reunited
	The four other lads were finally back from the US. They were all so tired and exhausted from all the touring. They were given about a week long vacation, and they really felt that they deserved every single second of it. It seemed like everyone else had a short vacation as well. Helen was more relaxed now, since Bry was finally home and the renovating of the house was nearly done. Patricia’s visiting relatives already left, giving her more time for her own self and for Kian. Toni’s job wouldn’t start well after the lads’ week long vacation. Alessia, was still on tour though. And Nicky would’ve given anything to have her home soon.       Once all of them have had time to catch up with their own family and friends, they decided to meet up at the McFadden’s house, since some of them haven’t been there yet before the time it was renovated.       They’ve been hanging around for what seemed like hours now, chatting away and drinking tea or fruit juices. Everyone was so surprised to see Nicky arrive with Alessia, since she said she wouldn’t be able to come home until after another two weeks. But the biggest surprise was yet to come…       “Hey Shane! Have you and Sandra set the dates for your wedding yet? I thought you guys would get married before the year ends.’ Nicky said before biting ito a chewy chocolate chip cookie. ‘Yeah, it’s two months away ‘til December and you guys still haven’t told us anything about it! All we know is that Alessia and Nicky plan to marry in May.’ Bryan added as he gently and lovingly rubbed Helen’s baby bump. Shane and Sandra looked at each other and smiled knowingly. ‘Well… actually…’ Shane said, as he took Sandra’s hand and showed it to the others. A simple, gold wedding band was placed on her ring finger. A chorus of what’s, where’s, how’s and cheers greeted both of them. When the excitement died down, the explanation followed. ‘Well, Shane just had this crazy idea to get married right then and there when we were both having dinner while I was with them in the States, and so we went for it!’ Sandra said as Shane held her hand. ‘Well, you guys have nothing to worry about though, coz we’re still getting married properly here in December. She’s only officially Mrs. Filan in the US, I think… I’m not so sure. But if I had to marry her everywhere to make her Mrs. Filan, I’d gladly do it!’ Shane said, causing everyone to laugh, including Sandra.       “So, now that that’s settled, what about these two here?’ Alessia asked, pertaining to Mark and Toni. A sudden hush filled the air, because everyone remembered what happened before when Mark had proposed. Alessia suddenly wanted the ground to open wide and gobble her up. Much to everyone’s relief, Mark smiled broadly. ‘Well, we’ve got something to tell you guys as well.’ Toni said. “Woah! Don’t tell me you guys are already married too!’ Bryan joked, causing everyone to laugh. ‘Nope! But that’s the next step we’re gonna take!’ Mark said happily, and everyone suddenly noticed something glinting on Toni’s ring finger. Squeals of delight came from the girls as they all gathered around Toni, practically shoving Mark to the side. ‘Girls.’ Shane said, shaking his head and laughing. ‘They always have something to squeal about and get excited over.’ ‘You said it!’ Bryan agreed as they all stood up and went over to the terrace. ‘I dunno… I kinda find it cute though.’ Nicky said as he leaned on the railing. All the other lads gave him looks as if he’d gone mad. ‘What? What?’ Nicky said, his blue eyes twinkling as he laughed. Bryan left and when he came back, he had an armful of beer bottles. ‘Well, I definitely think we have to celebrate, especially Feehily over here.’ Bryan said as he handed out the beer. ‘I agree. Here’s to Mark, and to all of us. Cheers!’ Kian said, as they all took a swig of their drink. ‘Mark, I’m really glad that you got her to say yes this time.’ Nicky said. “Yeah, I’m glad as well. It was quite easy you know. All I had to do was tie her up to a chair, point a gun to her head and ask her to marry me.’ Mark said. He said it in such a dead serious tone that everyone else thought twice before laughing. ‘Seriously, I was kinda surprised that she did say yes when I proposed to her.’ He added, before looking up at the night sky. ‘Well, just be thankful that she did say yes, coz no one would probably want to get married with the likes of you anyway.’ Bryan joked, making everyone erupt into fits of laughter.
