Chapter 1
Nicky opened his eyes. He smiled as he stretched himself contently like a cat who just woke up from a very relaxing sleep. He rolled to his side and he hugged her. “Good morning G.” he whispered into her ear as she yawned and smiled up at him. “Good morning Nicky.” Georgina said as she cuddled up to him. “Isn’t it great to wake up 10:30 in the morning?” Nicky said, holding Georgina closer. “Yeah… I really so much Nicky.” “I missed you too.” he said, kissing the top of her head. “What are your plans for today?” he asked, playing with her hair. “Well, I’m gonna go Christmas shopping later, and probably visit a sick friend. You?” “Absolutely nothing. I have no plans at all. Isn’t it great?” Nicky said, laughing. He was on a break for a whole month, and he was looking forward to it. He just got home last night and he was glad to finally get home. “Can I come with you?” Nicky asked. “I don’t know… Michael doesn’t really like meeting other people Nicky.” Georgina said, getting out of the bed. “Who’s Michael?” Nicky asked, sitting up. “The friend I’m telling you I’m going to visit.” Georgina said, heading for the bathroom. Nicky followed her. “I’ve never heard of him. Where’d you meet?” he asked, standing by the doorway as Georgina brushed her teeth. “Do you have to know everything Nicky?” she snapped at him. Nicky looked surprised but quite irritated. “What’s eating you? I was just trying to make conversation G.” he said, standing out of the way as Georgina stormed out of the bathroom. “Yeah, right. Like you were trying to make conversation the last time too, and the time before that!” Georgina said angrily as she as she started dressing up. Nicky turned around as Georgina dressed up. “I thought we’ve finished about that already G.” he said exasperatedly. “How could I forget? How can anyone forget that Nicky? I’m glad my father could still talk to you after that incident!” Georgina said as she walked past Nicky, going over to the mirror. “Look, I was drunk G. It was a mistake and I said I was sorry didn’t I?” Nicky said, his voice getting louder. By the time Georgina answered him back they were shouting at each other. Georgina was picking up things and throwing them at Nicky as he kept shouting at her. Tears were flooding their eyes as they said hurtful words at each other, words that they never dreamed or imagined they would be saying to each other. Georgina left, shouting before she slammed the door. “I hate you! I hate you and I never want to see you again!” Nicky shouted after her, but he was stunned at what he said “Fine! I never want to see you again! I never loved you anyway!”
Nicky sat on the floor, rocking back and forth. “What happened?” he thought. Just a few years ago, Georgina and him were so loved up and caught up in each other. They were so sweet it was enough to make a person sick. He didn’t even know what went wrong. He couldn’t even remember when and how. All of a sudden they just started fighting a lot. They had arguments about every single thing. Sure, they eventually make up and they’re so happy again in each others’ arms but after a few days, the bitter fighting starts again. “Why?” he asked himself, hot tears flowing down his cheeks. He stood up, wiping them away. He stopped into the bathroom, taking his clothes off. He opened the shower, letting the water stream down his face and body. He cried harder, his tears mixing with the water. “Where did our love go?” he thought as he broke down, his heart smashing into a million pieces.
