You will never catch a mullet( i havnt any way!) it is recomended to use a bubble float with rag worm or bread.
You have always got a chance of catching in a eel in the summer. You think you have got a good pass on but its a slimy old eel
Description: Autumn and winter provides flounders. So if fishing in that time use small hooks and 2 hook trace. Use lug or rag.
summer time fish the gap on low but when it turns you need to get back or you will get cut off or even cause a coastguard rescue.
(danger of death)
Dont go out on a rough day or a foggy day because if you are out there, and you cannot see where you are going you may get stuck in quick sand or even get your foot stuck in an net and drown.
If you dont know the Area its best to fish with someone out there that knows the spot well

Name: Dangerous Lawson
Mark name:Roker Pier
Mark location: Sunderland
Accessibilty: Easy
Tide: incoming towards end of pier, 1 hour and the ebb at marks futher down.
Time: Anytime
Species: All the usual N.E. fish
Tackle: Crab is king for those winter cod sessions.Lug and lug cocktails in the winter are good.rag and crab both do well in the summer as does feathers and spinners for Mr Mac.
Description: Prime spot for novice to experienced anglers. No huge casts casts really needed as you already are above deep water most of the time. Fish the end for most fish and cleaner ground. Not as prolific and sometimes VERY snaggy is the middle downwards, this is where the lads fish for the bigger cod in winter. The bay is normally underfished but allways worth a try with a south/easterly. (can be kelpy!)

time Anytime
species:cod whiting bass flatties [all spiecies] mackerel coalies dogfish and the occasional sea trout salmond and ray
