29 May 2008.  There's a chance to win two original Casca art covers that were on the original series.  Click here for the Assassin cover bids and here for the Conquistador cover bids.

***********
24 May 2008.  Spoke to the publisher this week.  The book cover has had a few amendments at the printers and this has put the publishing back a week to around 7th June.

***********
10 May 2008.  The publisher has got the artwork finished and now expects the release date for Casca 27: The Confederate to be the beginning of June.  Meanwhile I've updated the Johnny Reb book page to include the story synopsis.

***********
2 May 2008.  I hope to have news of The Confederate in a week or so.  Meanwhile the 2nd draft of The Avenger has been proof read and corrections made, and the final proof reading is to be shortly done.

***********
1 May 2008.  April's stats: the overall number of visits to the website dropped by 200 but record visits were made to 7 book pages and equal records in two more.  The books having record stats were African Merc, Damned, Legionnaire, Persian, Panzer Soldier, Samurai and Soldier of Fortune.

************
3 April 2008.  Monthly book visit stats have been done, the booklist page has the revised figures.  Eternal Mercenary had its best ever month in the 8 years this website's been up.  A fair few other books also had best ever months too.  The publisher is trying to finalise the artwork for Confedertae, and then its a go.

************
24 March 2008.  Today the number of visits to the website passed 30,000.  An amazing 10,000 since 24th July last year alone.  Just shows how popular the Casca website has become.

************
21 March 2008.  Bad news for Paul Dengelegi.  He's been arrested for a drug-related offence and could face jail.  Click on
this link for more details.

************
13 March 2008.  Finished the first draft of The Avenger.  Its about 10% shorter than Johnny Reb and The Confederate and my proof readers will be going over it in the next couple of weeks.

************
5 March 2008.  I've come across an online book forum where people can exchange opinions of what books they have.  I've set up a Casca group inviting the 70-odd people who are already on it to join.  Anyone interested click on
librarything.com to go to the website.  I've also created a new page featuring the other authors of the Casca books, Paul Dengelegi and me, on otherauthors.

************
21 February 2008.  Completed the character sheets for Johnny Reb.  Have so far got to 229 pages for the
re-write of Avenger, just 60 pages or so to go.

************
16 February 2008.  I've now completed M, P and R character sheets for Johnny Reb.

************
14 February 2008.  Update of things: I've begun to put on the character lists those who appear in Johnny Reb.  So far have reached and completed 'L'.  The next 2 Casca books to be written by me have been confirmed as The Avenger, a story set in Constantinople immediately following on from the Sentinel, and Napoleon's Soldier, a story set in 1812 with Casca in Russia.  Another writer has been asked to write another story, set in the modern Middle East, which will be published in between my two.  I've been given a new contract to sign to include these two stories.

************
1 January 2008.  Happy new year to you all.  Last month was the best ever for website visits (1330) and the individual book visit records were broken in 18 out of the 26.

************
30 December 2007.  As of 19.30GMT today, this month is the busiest with individual visits to the website.  So far (with just over a day to go) the total visits this month has passed the previous record of 1279.  Another sign the Casca series is alive and kicking and growing!  Thank you all.

************
21 December 2007.  New news page added.  Casca 27: The Confederate has gone to the publisher for his approval.  Its roughly the same length as Johnny Reb, and this story completes the trilogy begun with Halls of Montezuma and links up nicely with events mentioned in Casca 17: The Warrior.
