NEWS
September 30, 2004.  After hopes of a new book were raised by an email from Paul Dengelegi, things have gone quiet again.  I have tried to contact him twice but have had no reply thus far.

***************
July 11, 2004.  More problems with the website encountered.  It seems life is conspiring at times!  I had to use Netscape to get into the website to edit the latest booklist stats.  Hope this isn't something that messes things up.

****************
May 24, 2004.  Following an email from one of the regular visitors to this site, the forum link has been deleted.  For some reason best known to Geocities, their link no longer worked.

****************
May 3, 2004.  I've updated the
Osprey page after anemail from a reader in the UK alerted me that there were new publications covering much of the periods in the Casca books.

****************
April 14, 2004.  One of the regular visitors to this website is having to sell his collection of Casca memorabilia, including some signed copies of Casca!!
Email me for details and any bids.  Closing date will be 31 May 2004.

****************
April 5, 2004.  March was the busiest month ever for hits on the site, just shows people are still very much interested in Casca.  No further news from anyone about the future however.  When I hear i'll put it on this page.

*****************
March 15, 2004.  I've made efforts to revive the numbers of visitors to the website.  From having over 200 hits per month back in 2002 it had fallen to 150 in 2003 and kept on falling through Christmas to a low of 61.  Now February saw an increase to 97 and March has already passed that.  Nice to see my efforts rewarded!

*****************
February 20, 2004.  More bad news about the film.  See the article at the bottom on the
Movie Page.

*****************
February 18, 2004.  No reply from either Thor Sadler or Paul Dengelegi to my emails I sent in the new year.  Unless someone takes the bull by the horns it would seem the Casca franchise is dead in the water.

******************
December 12, 2003.  A while ago I had an email from author Paul Dengelegi who was unsure as to the continuation of the Casca series following Gary Sizemore's death.  We can only hope that somehow the series survives.

******************
September 14, 2003.  I've been in contact with both Thor Sadler (Barry's son), and Paul Dengelegi about Gary.  Thor confirmed Gary bad bone cancer.

******************
September 12, 2003.  Awful news just passed to me.  Gary Sizemore, the man behind the BarrySadler website and a long time friend of Barry Sadler, passed away a few days ago.  Sympathies to his family and friends.

******************
July 8, 2003.  Thanks everyone for the emails, keep them coming in.  Still no news of Paul Dengelegi despite repeated emails to his address.

*****************
June 7, 2003.  The site now has a new URL, www.casca.net which replaces the now defunct .co.uk address.  Also I've been contacted by a newspaper from Florida who are interested in doing an article on the life of Barry Sadler.  Further news will be forthcoming when available.

*****************
April 30, 2003.  The www.casca.co.uk link appears to have failed.  I am in the process of trying to get the website changed to www.casca.net

*****************
April 8, 2003.  On barrysadler.com site it details how you can get hold of the first 12 volumes of Casca on audio tape.  Plans are afoot to get more volumes done shortly.

*****************
March 11, 2003.  Finally got news through about Matt Wall on the film project.  He has been "let go" so that scuppers any contact from the fans to the company regarding feedback about the Casca movie, if its still being planned, that is!  I've deleted the links as a result.

*****************
January 28, 2003.  New Newspage created for the new year.  Paul Dengelegi tells me the new Casca story is still under creation and news of its completion and publishing will be forthcoming in due course.

*****************
February 24, 2003.  No news from anyone about the movie or the book.  Things have gone very quiet indeed which is very odd.
