NEWS
20 July 2006 to 1 October 2006
1 October 2006.  Plenty happening at the moment; the new book is being presented at the highly famous World Book Fair at Frankfurt on the 6th.  Hopefully this might generate more interest.  The website monthly visits passed 700 for the first time in September (final total was 724).  I've completed the first draft of Johnny Reb.  Some additional stuff will have to be put in before it finally gets given to the publisher for his approval.  And bad news for my artist friend - the artwork hasn't been accepted.

21 September 2006.  I've nearly run out of my initial allocation of Halls of Montezuma.  Initial reviews are great - thanks for that! - and my artist friend has submitted a revised sketch which i've now sent to the owner for his perusal.  If you want to review the book,

9 September 2006.  I've received the initial sketches of the Confederate illustration.  Looks good and I've sent my artist friend a few suggested alterations before he gets down to doing the serious artwork.

************
2 September 2006.  First day saw 6 of you buy the book from the website.  More are pending.  The books for US/Canada buyers will be sent theirs direct from Tennessee.  UK buyers will have to wait till I get my batch through the post (probably around September 20).

1 September 2006.  The new book is now out!  If you want a copy email me on tonyrobertsbristol@yahoo.co.uk..

************
24 August 2006.  I've asked an old friend of mine to design a possible cover for the next planned Casca book which covers the early part of the Civil War.  He'll have it ready for me around the end of September.  To see what he's capable of, visit his website
www.damianleigh.co.uk

18 August 2006.  Movie update!  Casca's owning company, Eastaboga, are in talks with one of the big Hollywood studios regarding the possibility of them doing the Casca movie.  Also they have a major action star reviewing the script for film and video game markets.

************
5 August 2006.  Added the prologue of the new story.  Read it by going to the
Halls of Montezuma page and clicking on the link there.

************
3 August 2006.  Couple of things today.  The website went down again for about 4 hours.  I don't know what's going on but 15 minutes after complaining it came back online again.  I've asked the tecchie people for an explanation; it seems all they have to do is push a button to fix things.   I've also made an entry on the
timeline to take into account the new book.

************
1 August 2006.  Total hits on the website topped 660 in July, a 45% increase on the previous best month's.  Its the biggest increase ever and represents a staggering jump in visits.  If this trend continues I expect the monthly hit total to pass 1,000 in October, co-inciding with the launch of the new book. I've also added on the
Halls of Montezuma page the back page blurb which gives a brief description of what the book is about.

************
30 July 2006.  Interesting piece of news concerning a Barry Sadler novel Seppuku.  Apparently its going to be made into a film in 2007.  Good news for fans of his other novels, and hopefully a good omen for the Casca series.

************
29 July 2006.  The new book, Halls of Montezuma, has now officially been given the go-ahead to print.  Initial run of 2,500 will be out mid to late September.  See
Halls of Montezuma page for the book cover design.

************
26 July 2006.  Another landmark for the website; total number of monthly visitors passed 500 for the first time ever on the 24th.  This is due to increased interest in the new book and publicity by the Casca people both here and in the US.  Hopefully soon we'll see 1,000 per month!

************
21 July 2006.  There's an interview with me on the swords and sorcery website about the coming book and how I got ino the world of Casca amongst other things.

************
