Creating a hidden Restore Partition

Requirement:

• Symantec ghost 8.0 and above
• Gdisk.exe from Symantec
• Windows PE Bartpe version
• Partition Manager
• Windows Xp CD
• Windows 98 startup disk

Create 3 Partitions

Using Partition Manager or Partition Magic, 
create 3 primary partitions on the harddisk.
The Restore Partition (No.3)should be at 
least 2.5 gb to store the necessary image 
file and the other startup and restore files.

Install windows 
Install Windows XP into the first partition.
Using The unattended Installation will probably 
save you some time.
update windows to the latest updates.

Create disk image with ghost
Start the computer from the BartPe CD
Run Ghost.
Create an image of the disk into an 
external harddisk.
Copy the ghost image into Partition 3
of your installed Harddisk.
