A hybrid car is a vehicle that combines two or more sources for it's power. An example of a hybrid vehicle is a moped. It is a mix between gas and you pedaling for it's power source. The gasoline hybrid is a combination of an electric car and a gasoline car. A gas powered car is powered by the motor, which then turns the transmision, which then turns the tires. The electrical car is powered by batteries, which then turn the transmision than the wheels. There is two types of Hybrid cars. There is the parellel hybrid car. This car has a gas powered engine and electrically powered engine which both turn the transmision and wheels equally. Than there is the Series hybrid car which the gas powered engine turns the generator to charge the electric engine and the transmision runs on the electric engine.
